Just got back from an assault game in Tourmaline. Three of us snuck around to the enemy base and began to cap in hopes of dividing enemy forces...except no warning message ever came, the bar did not tick down, and we didn't get our victory dance.
We all left the area and went back in, and tried a number of other things, but nothing would start the count. Eventually, the enemy team caught up to us and killed us. Would have won if not for the glitch (seeing as all of the enemy forces were minutes away).
Has anyone else experienced this glitch?

i've seen HUD bug where the cap meter does not go down, but in fact it is capping. All of a sudden the round ends because of a cap victory but the bars are full.

I've had both the above happen - no capping when it should, and capping but not displaying it. The HUD bug version should be gone now, but it'll still occasionally not let you cap for no apparent reason.

It happened to me on several occasions.
For example, I was last man standing with my spider on Tourmaline, trying to cap the Epsilon point. However, the point remained red, no matter how many times I went in and out the grid, power down, etc. I was trying to cap for a whole minute or so and all the players spectating me reported that the red bar didn't go down. I asked on All chat and the enemy team said Epsilon point was full blue (theirs).
I also checked that there were no sneaky unpowered spiders on top of the point. I know all the tricks, this wasn't one of them.

What maps have you guys experienced it on? In a thousand games, it's only happened to me once.

It's not a map issue... it is more of a server consistency issue. The problem is that the server does not recognize a mech to have "stepped off" the cap area occasionally, whether by its own death or whatever.

Yup. I've seen it a couple times, and lost a game to it once. Speeding Jenner alone vs 5 Mechs on conquest. We spread out one to each point but were unable to recapture two of them, and obviously unable to catch the Jenner. Sucked to lose to capture with a Mech literally standing in every capture zone.
