Here are my Builds for -1N and -5N, which are my favorite mechs.
I did not yet account for Beagle Active Probe and might do that in future.

Dragon 1N - Love - 2 x AC2 - 2 x SSRM2 - 1 x HLAS - TAG - AMS - CB26MM

http://mechromancer....0,1,0,15,13,0,0

A multirole build trying to take outmost advantage of the Dragon strengths. Has a high and long peak dps ( 8.5 DPS / 10 sec) while moving in. The sustainable DPS of 4.39 comes in range of some aussalt class mechs and it is supporting its team with AMS and TAG.
I decided on tag as the torso mounted slot is no good for lasers, as you want to be able to concentrate you fire over the hole arm range. The TAG gives also free XP, but do not group it with the AC2s, as you like to register if you are hitting.
The frontal armor matches aussalt class hitpoints, while the back is low on armor. WIth it big nose, you will anyway mostly die trought frontal CT hits. Average damage per round is for me about 500-700 peaking up to 1000 damage. Legs have extra armor as people started shooting at them.
When mastered you will be around 75kph fast and have adv. sensors, adv. seismic and 360 target retention (for the SSRMs). Target prey are all tonnages. The 4 tons of ac2 ammo are quickly spent, you will hardly run out of SSRM ammo.

Dragon 5N - Hate - 3 x AC2 - 2 HLAS - CB17MM

A very pure build with low heat effiency. Has a tremendous peak damage of 16.24 DPS for almost 6 secs time, leading to hit and cover tactics. The sustainable DPS is 4.26 being a lot for a heavy chassis. The armor is weaker then on the -1N and you have no AMS, so look out for LRMs.
Might look like a fun/fail build. but if you are able to manage your heat - it's a killer. B)

Happy to see comments / discussions / builds

See you on the battlefield,
sveno

Hey if it works for you. Not had much luck with ac/2 combos, need to be exposed for too long to put out significant damage. I prefer fast shoot and scoot loadouts ie: erppc, gauss, AC's & pulse lasers. The buff to cycle rate on ac5 is kinda nice, I put duals on my 5n and it feels ok.

You have made a very valied point, i had to edit out my answer B)

Will test a new build for the 5N.

Question: How many tons of ammo due you take for dual ac5?

4, but it's tight, could use more.

Due to the feedback of Ryokens leap, i made this variant:

Currently doing field testing.

Thanks for the feedback so far!

Yikes! You better drop the dual lrg pulse and get a bigger engine. Min 300 rating, prefer 330xl or better. Do a search for Dragon builds, there's tons out there.

I been using this build since the LBX buff, it's pretty fun, and I seem to do more damage than a ac10. And about the same amount of damage if I used a UAC 5.
