That strange world again, full of jumping poptarts with PPCs and Gauss guns.

I can hear gods laughing...

This thing here can do triple AC/20... just FYI.

Awww, but I wanted a banshee or mauler.

At least it looks really awesome. Is it gonna be more awesome than the awesome? Probably.

I love hearing people whine about poptarts. I guess its an issue when you cannot aim... or track someone... Poptarts for me are nice chewy bits. Keep complaining! I'll keep having fun.

Very nicely designed, it should be a great addition in-game B) Hopefully it'll be able to go around 80 kph as well!

Fabulous. Poptarting Heavy Metals for the common man!

Seriously though... too similar to the Highlanders for my taste.

Would've preferred a non-humanoid. Like a KING CRAB!

VTR-9A1 - A modification of the 9A model, the 9A1 adds only two Machine Guns to the 'Mech for anti-infantry use. The 'Mech has ten tons of armor, making it better protected then the 9A Model and the two Machine Guns allow the 'Mech to have excellent anti-infantry combat capabilities. BV (1.0) = 1,110, BV (2.0) = 1,302

Those machine guns are in side torsoes. B)

They are in the legs.
The VTR-9A has its machine gun in the left torso.

Triple AC/20, here we go!

Though the illustration confuses me a bit, the arms look fully actuated, but that doesn't normally work with the AC/20. But the illustration is often misleading in Battletech...

So... we're finally "replacing" the Awesome with a Victor...

Welcome to being obsolete.

The Stalker replaced your role already and now the Victor will jump-kick you away.

Time to demand for Awesome buffs.

So? Cicada also should've had those MGs in legs and look at it...

Actually, the picture is a different model, the 9D with gauss rifle and lower arm acutator.
The MG version has AC/20 instead, and so does the standard version.

320 base Engine, Jump Jets,, and can carry ballistics, not just lasers and missiles. That might be what the Awesome would need.

Looks fantastic, but I'm more than a little sad it's not a Zeus. Might have to jump ship and go Clan after all.

They already done that thing with AC/20 Highlander. The trick is that both on Victor and HGN-733C right arm lacks lower actuator to house AC/20 (and so should not be able to yaw) while left arm has lower actuator and should be able to yaw. What they done is averaged yaw range of both HGN733C arms so they both can yaw but at halved angle. Same is going to happen with Victor.

Though I wish it were a Cyclops, the Victor is a good choice.

WARNING – INCOMING MISSILES
“Captain you have massive incoming LRMs, can you make it?”
“I’ll be fine,” she says, smiling down at her Victor after landing behind cover “LRMs are a complete joke.”

Fixed.

i don't know how they will handle Leg-Mounted Machineguns, like in the VTR-9A1. They could move them to Side Torsos... or just skip that variant...

Also, I love to read too deeply into things... B)

Anyone else notice that Mechs that fired their shots while rising into the air always missed, but shots fired from the Apex of a jump were accurate?

Hmm, the artwork looks great and i'm sure the vic is a stylish mech with a lot of character. But, apart from that, i think the Banshee would, for the reasons already mentioned, have been the better choice.
Especially since you can pretty much emulate the victor with a highlander.
