Textures can change the look a great deal - the hero highlander has quite a different feel from the regular variants. So until we get to mess with the color schemes of the normal versions we can't say how well the model was translated.

It is painted in the color of a darkness beyond twilight
And accented in that of blood that flows, buried in the depths of time...
I'm kinda hoping the pilot is named "Lina", just because.
(Also wondering who will get, and/or appreciate, the reference... )

It's more that the mesh looks very thin and rather skeletal.
Not menacing enough for an assault mech, and the cockpit just looks... weird, while it looks great on the concept art.
We'll see, but I'm not liking it so far.
Especially the arms seem a little thin, weird... and the waist even has a mesh error if you look closely.

DRAGON SLAVE!!! *blows up every mech on the field (even friendlies) at once, yet strangely doesn't kill anyone*

"The spell was invented by Lei Magnus, who originally called it Dragon Slayer. However, over the ages, the name of the spell was corrupted to its present form [Dragon Slave]."
And now I feel better for having got the reference out.

The MAL-3R variant (not available until 3062) mounts a LB 10-X in each arm (along with a LRM-15 in each side-torso, a Small Laser in the head, and a C3 Slave Unit in the CT).
Thanks for the correction - All hail the Emperor:
