These would not require any GXP or C-Bills to unlock; they would be already "unlocked" in the pilot tree and require MC to make a 1-time purchase from the Mechlab (they would not be consumed on use). They would have to be equipped in a Module Slot to have an effect in-game, though. This would be a way for users to make some use of empty Module slots when we don't have enough actual Modules, or just for kicks when we want to. Some of my suggestions would include:
- Mech ID Module - Allows users to see the name that an enemy pilot has given to their Mech after getting a target lock and gathering the enemy's Mech Info.
- Paintball Module - causes all weapons fire to leave paint splotches behind instead of/in addition to the visual battle scarring effects.
- Explosion Module - Make all explosions appear visually magnified 3X, add massive fireballs to component destructions (but cause no change in actual damage/splash radius)
- Stackpole Module - Causes your own Mech to explode catastrophically into massive a conflagration upon death for the whole world to behold (without causing any damage to nearby Mechs, of course)

Some Additional Ideas, sourced from the People:
Music Module - Similar to Highlander's effect, but different riff (perhaps the GDC 2012 Gameplay Trailer riff?)
JumpJet Exhaust Module - Change the size/color of your JJ's to make yourself look like a Delta IV taking off...
Rainbow Lasers - think of how much Brony cash that'd pull in!
Paul Inouye Voice Pack - to replace Betty, kind of like adding a depressing version of Marvin the robot.
