I have recreated both the classic Timberwolf/Mad Cat and the unseen Rifleman.

Both were created using Lightwave.

I was a bit nervous about doing the Timberwolf since it's so iconic everyone would be able to spot all the flaws instantly, but I think it came out well.

The Rifleman was a bit easier. I avoided using anything from original variant and used the Dark Age redesign for the radar "dishes". The legs were based on the IIC variant and made bulkier as too not seem too lanky or gundam-y.

The Timberwolf looks really good, the rifleman arms make me a bit nervous... also HEY KILROY WHERE ARE YOU GUYS?

Lookin good! I'm glad you went with the more classic look for the TimberWolf instead of the stubby-armed MW4 rendition.

Heh, thanks.

The others are off being losers and working, going to school, having girlfriends, and all that loser stuff. I'm just wrapping this up for tonight.

I'll probably be off making another one tomorrow if I can keep up this pace.

I'd be nervous too if it looked like I was staring down the business end of a pair of RaC 10s

Thanks! Yeah, those MW4 arms just felt too clean and industrial for my tastes. Battletech just seems like a universe where everything should look like it's cobbled together from many pieces, even for the clans.

These are looking good. I especially like how the Timberwolf turned out.

it might just be the angle but doesn't the Mad Dog's "nose" stick out a bit more?

The angle mostly. The proportions on this one are about the same as the classic design.

Much better. One thing also, is when your doing the artwork, think of weight placement, center of gravity etc... ask yourself if this joint could move in this way or that...

Thanks. Yeah, I need to get back into the habit of using the same joint style as the mechs in the Thunder Rift project.

Do the same with the Rifleman, the new re-seen one looks horribad. Take the old version and make it your own!

Friend requested I do a Quad mech. I couldn't find one I liked other than the Tarantula which I've already modeled half a dozen times. So, coming from my imagination and a mixture of various preexisting quad mechs: The Pack Leader.

The texture and lighting you used give these models a MW2 : Mercs feel to them. Aah Nostalgia...

Not his fault. That's the Reseen version and it is quite ugly.

I really like the one on the right Kilroy, it looks just right  I can totally tell its a T-Wolf but it looks a bit beefier in the right places.
