Reduce the size of the cockpit head component. Its that simple yet so hard to do.

I counted the last 10 games in which I played and I died in 4 of them to head shots. I survived in 5 games. That leaves 1 game in which I was cored. Its time for a change. Overall, this is the worst mech now with the cockpit size and LRM/SRM nerf.

Good luck. PGI has basically stated they like it the way it is in the last AtD. And we all know how stubborn PGI is.

3 games ago: A hunchback 3 shot me. It seems that SSRMs can autoseek the cockpit. That was something funny.

It was fine when cats had awesome torso twist, a simple cost of doing business in a cat, now that cat's don't the over sized cockpit is bullsh!t.

What most people don't seem to understand is that the Catapult is not a frontline brawler mech. There is a reason that all of the variants come stock with nothing but LRMs and medium lasers, or in the case the of the K2, PPCs. They are mobile, long range support mechs. You can kit them out like a brawler, and they have decent armor and STILL have excellent torso twist for a heavy, but they weren't really ever meant to be one.

A1 is definitely fine. K2 is mostly fine. C4 should always support. Dunno about C1.

When were Cats not viable? News to me...I think you meant "Awesomes" in your thread title (maybe).

ARE YOU JOKING?

Yeah the catapult is still a top tier mech, what are you smoking?

Pass it my way it's obviously the good stuff.

Try the streakcat with the new BAP changes and come back to me

the cockpit is a small tradeoff for otherwise great hitboxes and hardpoint layouts, along with great torso twist and JJ capable variants.

OP please if you are getting headshotted don't stand still

People need to stop assuming that something is wrong with the game just because they die.

hmm, i killed a shutdown cat yesterday with 2-3 volleys to the head... was that you?

rule #1: don't overheat
rule #2: if you need to overheat, don't
rule #3: if you really really need to overheat, don't get cought
rule #4: if you can't manage your heat and need to take all the shots, see #1

I only get a headshot when i'm standing still in my cats and mostly this is because no firing discipline. if you move and twist, you won't get shot in your cockpit (besides luckshots).

I got headshotted three times yesterday, twice while moving, once when stoping for a moment (my bad, I know). However no other mech has to be that afraid of being decapitated the moment he slows down. The number of time where I simply look at the enemy that just popped up and his first shot randomly aimed at my CT leaves me with deep read head is just sad...

And stuff the argument about 2nd line supporter, it's not the only "support" mech in the game but it is the only mech without his cockpit size adjusted down. Awesome used to be decapitated every time it slowed down. I haven't noticed that in recent months. Jager is a 2nd line supporter just as much as Catapult and it doesn't suffer from cockpit issues either.

P.S. Streakcat is a troll build and a waste of a 65t mech.
