So far I have been playing mechwarrior for a little over a month now and it is truly a amazing game however I have hit a bit of a hurdle. I tried all the catapults and found the k2 to be something I truly excelled in. That said I do want to transition to something else eventually. but I literally have no idea what. People in game told me to try the trial mechs but there configurations are sub par and dont present the best that mech has to offer. I have more then enough cbill to fully fit basically any mech on the roster.

So what would be a decent mech to move to?

Jaegermechs and Cataphracts are both really nice if you don't want to jump to another weight class. Can't really go wrong with either of those.

I was going to ask about the Raven 3L. Would the stock mech be the ideal way to go about it if I went that route?

Really depends on how you use the that k2. Ballistic or standard ppc build?

4 er ppc, 390 armor, and 86 kph speed. Very strong punch and run.

Heh, then you might like the cataprach 1x. http://mwo.smurfy-ne...254ff1a201abbcb
I like it but it takes skill not to die a fast death. Only mech owned I havent mastered yet. I like it and then dont!

4X can pack a punch, but can only go as fast as an Atlas. In a Heavy, why I passed!

I dislike it cause it has way to many ballistic for you to equip. If going Jager go A or ?, in my opinion the DD was my 3rd and sold.

Stock is never ideal here

Cataphract 3D. If you enjoyed the K2 it's the next logical step.

I keep hearing that stalkers are a bad idea compaired to there atlas counterparts since there too easily destroyed from the sides and too slow to be able to react.

Well, Stalkers = more firepower, Atlas = more armor. It is more complex than this but all I will add.

yeah with the emc of the ddr ect ect. The details of that argument have given me a few headaches. But the only true constant is everyone claims the stalker has a very hard time reacting to a changing battlefield due to its low speed and turning.

Well, I am more a med pilot, but the 3F has the better turning twist and can go faster than an Atlas. However, the Atlas DC can and should always carry an ecm. I would recommend you look at http://mwo.smurfy-net.de/ and decide for yourself. I have both and will keep both.

It would have to be one or the other since I only have room for 3 varients of a kind right now. Which would you recommend between the 2 assaults (3f and ddr)?
