Right now, how we end combat is limited to either your mech gets destroyed and you die, or your mech survives and so do you. Everyone fights or runs to the bitter end because that's the only option. I suggest adding in an eject button, and I suggest implementing the strategic value of it in one (or both) of two ways.

1. To reflect the fact that you as a pilot did not die, ejecting could mean not gaining a death in your K/D ratio. The mech that scored the final hit against you would still count as having a kill, but for the pilot's own purposes of seeing how well they do, they would not die.

2. Ejecting could give the pilot an XP or c-bill bonus for living through the mission.

Thoughts?

Eject button atm is called Alt+ F4.

However, lately there's been a whole production line of faulty ejection module that had made it's way throughout the galaxy.

More and more Mechwarriors find themselves forcefully shot out of their cockpit: Some right at the start of starting up Betty, Others at the middle of the heat of battle.

The great houses has since held closed session meetings about the issue and parts recall would pan out galaxy wide as soon as a working referendum could be drafted. New designs are going through stress testing as replacement as we speak.

i agree with your first point, it would take skill to eject just a few hits before you die so im all for that as long as people are not just doing it for the sole purpose of preserving their KD ratios.

Eject, land, do not get shot, run to your base, enter another mech staying at your base, and try again.

If no mechs are fielded with a pilot at any given time, another team wins, so you don't chase naked pilots.

Or just limit it to disconnected mechs for now, to give some incentive to the losing team (7v8).
