I am celebrating the announcement of the Stalker by declaring it "Stalker Battlemech Day" over on my facebook page and posting a couple of fanart images I drew. Obviously these ar ebased on the old design and not the new MWO deisgn (which is great!). Please feel free to come over for a visit and share your Stalker mech stories.

Both images were commissioned by Battletech fans. I am a freelancer for Catalyst and do some of the official tabletop game art but I still enjoy creating these unnofficial designs on the rare occasion when I have some spare time.

This top design is supposed to be a Stalker IIC with some clan tech.

Made by MekTek, but it is still counting as Fan Art I hope. ;)

Hi Alex. Things are truckin' along. Busy as always. I bet they keep you busy on this game! I hope you get to do some original designs for the game too. It was so refreshing to do the Hellhound and Flea designs for MW Mercs without being tied to the source material. I can only imagine how incredible your designs would look.

People keep asking me what I think of Hawken and I tell them that the environments looks crazy great, but the mechs are a bit dorky. Definitely not a problem with MWO. All of your stuff has been terrific. I especially like the Centurion ;)

Did you see the Omega mini? Mini is a bit of an oxymoron since it is HUGE.

Keep up the great work!!!

Some more images came to my mind with Alex's visit:

Shimmering Sword's (based on your own, it seems):

And this is still a fan art (sorry, Alex):

Yup, that was based on the 2009 drawing I did for Striders Strikers. He has commissioned a lot of drawings from both of us.

good to hear, the more western style chunky mecha gets out on the market, the better IMO, and i ever do love your linework.

Yeah i saw the omega mini, looks gorgeous

I too am working on a project this weekend thanks to the Stalker's Announcement. I plan to do a Stalker In Blender. I doubt it'll be as cool as your work but I hope to post it up by Monday. So thanks for the thread and when I get home from work I'll check the Facebook page. ;)

That's definitely him. His Mecha-Zone art books are droolworthy.

Yes, that's me.

... and here's another one I just did. This time I made the Stlaker into a Land Air Mech and used the MWO Stalker as the base. Sorry it's so sloppy, but I did it during my lunch break ;)

It's like a StarCraft Viking and a Macross VB-6 had a terrifying Battletech baby. :(

hehe he looks like he's about to fall over backwards :P. But nice 3D work!, I tried using blender some time ago but never got my head around it.... but that was before I learn the basics of Maya so maybe I can be forgiven lol.

An aerofighter with the Stalker's armaments would be up around the Stuka's class. Nice and scary all at the same time.
