rubberbanding is present and disconnects as well. Makes game unplayable at times. Not a client side issue since I have no problems connecting to any other servers.

need help with this one.

I'm also suffering from similar problems as of recently.

I can't say when I started getting the problem since I've not played in a little over a week, but in spite of having a ping of less than 30, I have suffered rubber-banding, and two of the three matches I played ended with disconnects.

My internet connection (Opening Chrome for example) is doing fine, though.

I actually don't experience heavy rubber banding, usually I only see I when I "crash" into another mech.

Thanks to the HSR the sever can't decide which version of reality actually happened and tries to apply both at different times.

This however is to be expected, a natural phenomenon due to HSR and LAG.

Playing right now is kind of ridiculously hard with varying pings between 200 and 500ms (should be around 120, max 180ms), hitregistration is suffering murderously because of this as well.

Funnily it only gets more apparent when I play at GMT+1 nighttimes, when all the lowpingers come out to play as it has been for the last week for me now which should rule out ISP doing maintenance or some other client side things as I can play other I-net games just fine (i.e.: ArmA series, CS:S/CS:GO/DCSA-10 MP/GTR2 MP).

Can it be something bugging out when trying to equalize big latency differences on the running server (e.g: latencies from 100-200ms overall are fine, 30-400ms tends to be horrible and barely play/hittable) ?

I had this and tried to pin it down.
tracert didnt gave clear results (high pings everywhere) until 12 hours ago where I had only * instead of ms for the last Frankfurt server on my list for minutes.
Are you routed over Frankfurt, too?

My ISP just called and said it was related to my bandwith - which does not really makes sense in my eyes. I will test.

Just started rubberbanding. 77ms ping. played a game with no prob, then canyon started teleporting immediately. and oddly every map afterwards (next 3) were canyon. all rubberbanding. the last one started off ok until i fired a shot then it went crazy like previous.

I've only been playing this for a little while, so I don't have a huge history of experience with MWO to draw on that others do, but...

My ping is consistently between 50 and 100 or so, and I play mostly in a Jenner that does 134kph. These network issues seem to have gotten a lot worse lately. I'll be fleeing and turning around a corner or otherwise go behind or underneath something, then take damage through the obstacle from a 'phantom shot' that makes impact sounds and shakes my cockpit. As if getting shot through a wall isn't enough, getting rubberbanded backwards out in the open to start the process over again usually quickly follows. Last game I got phantom shot, rubberbanded back out into the water, re-accelerated and got phantom shot again, dragging me back out for a second time until I could finally get out of it...

Its really brutal on light pilots who rely on positioning, movement and speed to avoid taking 4 PPCs to the face.

Just had to change my vote. Since the last Patch rubber banding has dramatically increased! However I did note one common denominator when it occurred. It always happens to me when I enter Night Vision mode. The map doesn't matter, the game type doesn't matter, even occasionally in the training grounds If I now use Night Vision I start jumping back and forth about 40% of the time instead of the previous estimate of <10% of matches.

No changes made to my system since last patch BTW so I am pretty sure its something in the recently updated code...

Seems like Rubberbanding is back once more since the last patch.
It has a somewhat different appearance though: The mechs seem to "teleport" rather in some weird angle with a trajectory from the directon they were moving in. Classic rubberbanding was more back and forth (or forth and back actually :) ).

I think the new rubberbanding is caused by rewind feature for shooting when multiple mechs target you. That is when I experience it. I go in to draw fire with my spider and get zammed all over the place by people hitting the R key on me. I don't experience it once they are locked on me unless they unlock then relock which some people are doing to take advantage of this bug.

This sucks.... I am getting bounced all around the map, I think I am turning a corner on a building only to a second later find meself running full speed into the side of the building. Currently the game is unplayable for me.

Never had issues since the open beta started, but two patches ago (the one introducing the lava map) the mechs are rubberbanding about every 30sec to 1 minute. I tried to disable any other sources that could cause lag issus, but without success. Didn't change anything at my computer, no new programms installed or removed. Just booting the system and trying to play. Makes me sad ;)

My ping is in the 40's and I have a direct line connection from my computer to my modem and I'm still getting rubberbanding. I have not had any issues until this recent patch with rubberbanding since I was in Closed Beta. It's definitely NOT me or my ISP.

The hotfix today fixed it for me! Everything is fine again. Played some hours and hadn't one problem with rubberbanding.

Today's fix did not fix anything for me and first time for me game is unplayable. Problems begun after 12vs12 patch.

Today is the first day I have ever experienced this issue. Hopefully it is an isolated event.

It isn't just rubber banding that's annoying as hell, mechs that are doing so don't register damage. I alpha'd a raven earlier tonight dead center with 4 med lasers, an ERPPC and LB-10X A/C from about 150m.It teleported slightly to the right as it got hit, none of my weapons registered a hit, and it killed my Cataphract easily despite having less damage. The only weapons that may hit these mechs are LRMs and Streak SRMs (though streaks aren't reliable at all for damage that matters.)

This is at least the second time this problem has come up. With launch about a month away, we need a real solution to the problem. I doubt people are going to be tolerant of dropping the engine cap any further.

ping was around 110 and consistant, and never had this happen before, or was so infrequent it didn't seem an issue.

since 12v12 introduction its hard to put an exact frequency stamp on it, I can go ten games with nothing then it can happen for the next 5 games 10 times a game..

odd thing is it states my ping has dropped from about 109-115 to 97-109, I'm also getting big frame drops at the start of matches single figures, which then will come back up to around 45 and I'll fiinsih at 60 which is what I'd had except in extremey busy situations

I have had quite some rubber banding since August 6th. For me it seems to occur when i play a light mech (140-150km/h) in a 12vs12 Team drop against a team with a ping under 90 and my team usually having around 140 -200ms pings. When we drop against an other european team i don't experience none to little rubber banding.

My ping seems to be higher now too. Had a steady 125-130ms now ist mor like 160ms. Framerate isn't an issue, got steady 60.

Never had this issue before the latest patch. Now it's happening all the time.
