I'm playing well, my "stats" are where they should be each match, just bad capping issues and teams who won't help when asked nicely.
When things maybe get to where I lose some and I WIN some...one a day even??
This game will be heaven for me.

I was enjoying the game immensely before that. The content trickle is a little slow, but it's been fairly high-quality (in terms of map and mech designs). Balancing is on-going, and I can't wait to see SRMs get some serious buffs (the recent pattern change made them even worse IMO) so that I can go back to eating face in some of my mediums and my one Highlander SRM boat.

When I think of the game as "MechWarrior," I want to commit violence upon any person who has had his/her hands in developing this game.
So, as long as I can do the former, I can tolerate it with friends.

I am eagerly awaiting 12v12 matches and CW, as well as the advance of the timeline (I really want a bushwhacker). I have my frustrations, but in the end I have a lot of fun playing.

Overall, I am still disappointed at how PGI is choosing to handle this game. I think we all wanted a bit more from this Mechwarrior title than MW4 reskinned and with new ECM. I really would've liked to see very large maps, like 4x or 6x larger than what we have now, destructible environments, and some kind of restriction to mechlab/custom mechs. I guess I wanted something more evocative of battletech, which is something the mechwarrior franchise has always failed at quite honestly, that somehow incorporated all the various aspects of the game world that helped to shape the balance and the battles.
Still, I can accept the loss of my battletech dreams if PGI makes a compelling game in its own right. And thats the rub, is this game compelling? Right now, and for the last several months, I'd have to say NO. PGI has no passion for this, they bring nothing to the table, no initiative, no creativity, no inspiration. We have the computing tools these days to make a truly deep and complex game of mechs that stays true to battletech, but PGI seems unwilling or un-capable of implementing any innovative game designs (gimmicks are not innovation), which this particular franchise has needed since MW2.
So I've been enjoying other f2p games - and spending much more money on them! - the last few months: War Thunder, Warframe, PS2, Neverwinter (meh), even tried out WoT (meh). And now today, wargame:airlandbattle is out, so I'm gonna give that one a whirl.
Come on, PGI, get this game back on the right track, nerf convergence, make more maps and modes, and give CW some balls. I don't have much faith in you guys at this point, but for some reason, I still think this game is salvageable. Maybe new management would help.

The matches had a great variety of playstyles bcs Brawling, Sniping, LRMing was all viable.
Since ECM this game is a chaotic cycle of "Denials" and "Hotfixes" that break more the balance than help it.
New Players get a Picture of the Gameplay that is almost irreversible.
When HSR work is completed "Balance 2.0" is a must to bring back variety and diversity into the matches.
Some things can only be toned up or down in tiny increments to prevent overreactions (propaganda (blunt lies), exxageration, drama) of parts of the playerbase like the so called "LRMageddon" recently.
Lets hope UI 2.0 and CW will work out well.

1. Integrated VOIP. This game MUST have it if they insist on matching PUGs vs. premades.
2. More Intuitive Battle Grid. Let's face it; it's unwieldy and confusing...and many players are oblivious to the how it works and what the icons mean even when the grid is used properly. I'm hoping that by time UI 2.0 is introduced they'll have fixed/updated the HUD as well, and make the Battle Grid easier to use and more intuitive.
3. C-Bill/XP Penalty for Friendly Fire Damage. Just as you get penalized for killing teammates, you should also get a penalty to your XP and C-Bill rewards at the end of the match proportionate to the amount of damage you inflicted on friendly targets. Accidental friendly fire is inevitable, but I think way too many players are reckless with their ordnance and intentionally fire when they clearly don't have a clean shot, damaging their teammates (sometimes critically) in the process. This would help curb this behavior while at the same time reward players with good gunnery discipline with higher XP/C-Bill awards.
4. Advanced Zoom. It's useless...please FIX it. I know CryEngine has PiP problems, so PLEASE just do the obvious thing and make it a straight 4x (or 5x) zoom with a HUD overlay with an alpha channel that simulates a "binocular effect." Problem solved.
5. Unlockable End Game Content. I want to see a robust end game with content that is ONLY unlockable through grinding XP and/or achievements. Examples: Unique camo patterns/paints, "Veteran" 'mechs, special ammo, unique cockpit items, etc. Basically stuff players can show off to other players as badge of skill/experience, rather than just another bobble purchased with MC/c-bills.
6. Cheaper Fluff Content. There needs to be more "throw away" items in the MC store that can be had for under 50 MC. I want to buy LOTS of cheap fluff items frequently, rather than a few EXPENSIVE fluff items rarely. I'm an impulse shopper; but if a fluff item is too expensive I won't ever buy it even if I can afford it. For example, all of the cockpit items are stupidly expensive; there's no way in hell I'm going spend $4-5 on a silly cockpit item that nobody ever sees. However, if each item were around 50 MC or less, I would definitely pick a few up...probably one for each of my mechs (I have over 23 mechs).
7. Chat Window. Forgot to mention this (hence the edit)...but the in-game chat window is also pretty unwieldy (which makes #1 above all the more imperative). For some reason you can't hold backspace down to quickly erase text....but if you hold down any other key it repeats annoyingly across the field. BAD. Also, lack of scrolling back to previous messages is a FAIL.
There's a few more, but mostly minor things that are known issues that they have said they are fixing. The issues listed above are the things that really bug me the most about the game right now.
I'm pretty satisfied with weapon and 'mech balance now, though that's a process that evolves as the game matures.

See, this happens to me from time to time whenever I'm in my raven; I just laugh and say "nice shot" then start another match.
The reason I laugh, is because I know that there's probably another player like me sneaking up behind him getting ready to core him with a double AC/20 blast as he's cooling down from that last alpha.

But with seismic sensors, there is no more sneaking anywhere. that type of gameplay is forever gone.

For me, it's not so much "rage", as that implies some sort of strong emotion. It used to be I'd get indignant and log right back in to get revenge. Now, when I get blown up by an alpha mech in 2-3 shots before I can do anything, the reaction is more like "Oh, okay, so much for that match.", and I'll move onto a game that's more fun to play.

I generally enjoy my time in MW:O, although some days are certainly better than others. It is incredibly frustrating to roll up against full Highlander poptart lances or games consisting of 75% PPC boats, especially after buying MC.
Hopefully the missile fixes and jump jet shake will help shift the balance a bit soon. I'm not holding my breath though.
