You missed the X to 250k $ part of the sentence.

In reality, he probably pulled the most expensive (that is, longest in development) map they had completed by that time, the Tourmaline. The first concept of that thing came out just after Cicada announcement from back the 9th of May 2012. Back then it was even called differently as Desert and it was constantly pushed back, ultimately predating all the map variations and just about every map except for the original three, the Caustic, Frozen City and Forest Colony.

Again, you're exaggerating my claims with sarcasm.
Something like this wouldn't be "Hey PGI get the **** out of the way, the community has it from here"
It would go something like "Hey PGI, check out this King Crab I made, I think it's pretty neat. Won't you take a look?"

So different from now how? People are free to suggest or submit whatever they want no? It seems what you want is to force PGI to use some of it.
It's not an exaggeration to me, it's the logical follow up of allowing player input in an area where the "community" has decided PGI is lacking. Aren't there as many "valid" ideas for fixing game mechanics submitted for free as there would be "viable" maps from the mass of unemployed or amateur game designers we have constantly providing such every day.
I find it insulting to the non mappers that only maps should get such consideration.
I'm sure MWO is just slow on the uptake of player submitted maps in F2P games. I bet people could list many F2P that utilize such in their games.

The problem is that we never know what PGI is doing because they don't tell us. They don't throw their ideas out there for their beta testers to hear. Whats the point of being in a beta test when the devs dont listen to our feedback? Or better, acknowledge that they've read it and disagree.

Then ignore my thread and report it. I really dont give a **** what the community thinks of my posts.

It would likely cost way more to manage a thing like that than it would save. How many map submissions would it take, who would review the submissions, how much post work would have to be done... etc.

Hello Everyone,

Unfortunately there is very little constructive feedback here. We're going to move this thread to k-town.

Unfortunately you are totally calling us out on our *********, let me hide this as much as I can get away with

People can suggest all they want. This thread is me suggesting PGI watch the community and beta testing forums a little more, or at least acknowledge they have at some point in time, gotten feedback from beta testers. Otherwise whats the point?

What is the point of having a "beta" where the developers dont even acknowledge that their testers are here playing the game? They make no effort at all to even let us know what they think of our ideas. Ask the Devs is just "No, No, Maybe, No, No, HEY BIG SALE THIS WEEKEND"

Aaaaaand jettisoned. Thanks PGI.

That must have been the best $250k that was spent.

Never reward PGI with premium time, when you can't use the time because of massive lag and/or disconnects through bad netcode.

That's not what the OP says. Maybe edit it again and it might say that. :)
