I think everyones in the opinion that all weapons should have some sort of usefulness so heres some change that may balance the game play a bit.

Srms - Return srms back to what they use to be pre-nerf no change was necessary.

LRMs - Increase the damage per missile while increasing the spread on an enemy mech make the missiles even faster.

Ssrms - Bring back its damage and splash from pre-nerf time period, also make it a weapon that requires a bit more skill which would include having to re-lock every time you fire the weapon. You can only achieve lock on while in missile range (lock starts only when your within 270m). The moment an enemy mech leaves that range you lose lock. Another change would be that you should have to maintain the targeted enemy mech in a site cone in front of you. If they move behind you or move out of the site cone you should lose lock immediately. (possibly make two different locks for lrms and ssrms). Ssrm lock on time should also not be affected by anything including bap, artemis, or tag.

Machine Guns - everyone compares these to small lasers because they're both a .5 ton weapon; however, that just is not true as it is at least a 1.5 ton weapon with ammo. they should be comparable to medium lasers not small lasers. The damage they should do needs to be around 1.5 - 2 damage a bullet with a reduced rate of fire.

AC-2 - Reduce the amount of heat it generates while increases the amount of ammo you can have per ton. This weapon if made better should be used to discourage pop tarting.

PPCs - no change is really necessary. possibly put in more penalties for severe over heating and the up coming pop tart nerf might make them harder to use.

All pulse Lasers - reduce the heat they generate.

Small Lasers - Lower heat generated.

Narc - remove the timer completely

AC 10 - increase the amount of ammo per on.

Flamer - Have it how it is now except have the flamer reduce the amount of heat you are generating at the same time; however, it should not be near as effective as a single heat sink.
