I decided I need some cash, so I've been trying to get though with ether my Wang, or my Fang.

Safe to say, after skipping day one, I have failed.

Oddly, I've done better then the proverbial "long string of 100 pointers" I remember leveling in my Dragons for, but doing twice the damage of any teammate just doesn't win games.

Someday, we'll hear if they have enough data to call Elo "accurate", but for now: FMT.

This challenge has ruined the gameplay. Instead of playing normally, everyone is blitzing to cap points and completely ignoring the enemies.

Fundamentally the problem is that the gameplay modes are irritatingly broken (i.e. no harder to cap out your enemies when they are all alive than when they are mostly dead); but the challenge has massively exacerbated this issue.

It's no longer just "annoying", it's flatly ruining the game -- getting into a good fight is nearly impossible.

25 done, was fun 'cause there was some sort of goal why to play. And didn't really need to "push-it" to achieve it :)

Sooo we're gon'a get a graph or two showing win/ loss ratios for Them Who Won, and another one for number of games played by distribution of Fails?

You know: The whole "Elo will get you a 50/ 50 record" thing?

So now that I've completed the challenge, how will I get the holo? doesn't show up as a no-cost purchase under the standing items in the cockpit.Do we just get a promo code in an email? Haven't won a challenge so thanks for bearing with me

Well this sucks. I'd love to get the reward but I left for a short holiday on the 28th and only got back for today. I have 2 hours to win 25 times.

Done and done, the prize wasn't really a motivation this time but it was a great idea and I hope PGI does this again, maybe for paint schemes or colors, heck they could set a really high win ratio for a hero mech, love this strategy, give whomever came up with it a raise!

It sucks cause I work during the week, 12hr graves. Stuff like this should be extended to the weekend to give those of us with odd careers a chance to even try to do this.

Just completed the challenge. Great idea and more accessible than the other tournaments. Would like to see more of this sort of thing. However, would be even better if the challenge had tiers with appropriately matching rewards. For instance:

25 wins - bronze coloured 3050 holograph
50 wins - silver coloured 3050 holograph
75 wins - gold coloured 3050 holograph

Or something like that.

Unlike the tournaments where clans and mercenary groups can sync drop singuarly, work together to rig the tournament so that their best team score can max out the individual score. (You know who you are, and don't deny it.)

This has been without a doubt the best way to get a real achievement with this game fairly.

Like a few other mechwarriors have mentioned the modes of play are the biggest contradiction.

The two modes are team orientated, dur, so how can you really rate one individual above another?

Simple, an arena or grand melee mode, 16 mechs enter (eventually 24), 1 winner. ( most kills x most damage x most movement steps (stop camping) over 15 matches)

Sure there will be team up's but eventually 1 undisputed winner will HAVE to emerge.


In saying this maybe us mechwarriors could get a highlander minature cockpit achievement item for 15 matches without pop tarting.

A stalker minature items achievement for 15 matches not using a PPC stalker build.

A no base cap achivement for fighting it out instead of capping it out, unless conquest.

etc etc.. you get the idea.

PGI this is the right direction for this game for achievments.

Overly one dimensional contest which has just been turning most matches into a cap race. So many other kinds of contests that could have rewarded good piloting.

  • accuracy contest?
  • assists?
  • savior kills?
Whoever came up with this is such a simpleton.

I didnt had a SINGLE game where a team just rushed for the cap. Every single match was a fight, and all of these were good.
So i cant agree with you that this challange has ruined the game.
