so many people crying about feeling cheated by the time posted..
if you were really that concerned about it, you could have done a teeny bit of research (as I did) and google "UTC time" and *poof* you know exactly what time it is currently according to UTC and can calculate from there.

In the age of infinite information readily available at everyone's fingertips - teaching oneself has died.

Well if it weren't for the all out Crash Warrior mode since the last Patch, I would have had 25 the first nite......
The game refused to let me run my Dragon 5N(C), or a Highlander, or any large mech.... but last nite I finely tried a 5D Spider, and what do ya know, it quit crashing..... I started at 3 wins after all the crashes for the whole time up to that point, and by the time I pasted out about 1:30am I was up to 19...

I went out and did my chores this morning, and came back in to see if i could make up the needed 6 wins.... Out of 7 played we had won 5, and was in the middle of the next match when the server went down..... so I got 24 out of 25 in spite of the Crashing to Mechlab 99% of the time before running the Spider...

And if 25 Crash's to Mechlab get's ya something special, than I got that award covered........

Lots of cap rushing going on..... and i did a little my self, but mostly tried to cover my team with ECM/BAP, and use TAG to help the LRM PPL, and help keep Lite's off their back, as the support Spider that it's built up to be..............

sure had to run back to base a lot, to intercept a lot of ravens.........Cap Warrior was alive and well........

23 Wins; between the 'Crash To Desktops' and the short timeframe I couldn't really do it I'm kinda disapointed in the challenge. I ran out of time and had to leave my precious computer before the challenge was over.

25 Wins @ 50% chance = 50 Games x 10 min/ea = 500 minutes = 8 hours of play time. You should know better.

Also why the hell would the challenge end at 10am? Some of us have lives to live here. PGI, we aren't all teenagers with nothing but free time to blow.

Stop being so stingy.

If you want us to participate, make it more practical. It's not rewarding enough while your obviously throwing these events to keep the number of active players up; I'll keep in mind to ignore the next event unless this is fixed.

As much as I feel for those who didn't feel they could invest the time (and yeah, an extra day would have been polite to 9-5'ers and busier professionals), I think it's worth pointing out that this is the first contest that rewarded team play directly...and while the technical, solo odds were 50/50, keeping with a good team brought up those odds significantly. I didn't have to play for 8 hours - I got it in closer to 5. One lengthy session with 7-friends, and one short one with 3. So, for two nights, instead of turning on the TV for a few, or cracking open a book, I played a game that I like with my buddies. Hardly a 'marathon basement dwellers or ****' situation, certainly not compared to the earlier tourneys which could basically only be won by poop-socking. No offense to the winners, but you know it cost a heck of a lot of time, and not all of us had it to spend.
The point is, while I don't completely disagree with your math, the assumptions are worst-case. Drop with a team, 4 or 8, and your odds - and therefore potential time investment, improve. The hard truth is, this game is not kind to PUG right now.

I lost a whole day of playtime due to an internet outage but still managed to get my 25 wins.
In fact, it only took about 30 matches. Yen-Lo Wang is underrated. :)

This was very fun. Hope to see more such Challenges in the future.

Favorite Match of the run-
My Lance had a PGI Piloted PPC Equipped Spider, and we won. Nice shooting Brian.

I needed to get 11 wins last night to finish of the challange.
My cousin and I grouped up for four hours to get the last ones we needed and in the end we managed to get 5 wins in 4 hours. We had the longest run of losses I have ever encountered, and it seemed no matter how much damage or capping we did, our team fell down around us :)
There were a few close calls, but I honestly found that hours last night to be most frustrating lossing streak I have ever had in a game. Ever :(

So, I liked the challenge (even as a proud owner of the hologram before).
I liked it also as it was manageable for all the ppl, who don't have the time to play all the day.
Thanks!

MechWarriors!

We’ve got something special for you today, so I’m going to challenge myself to write challenge as many times as possible in the description. Here we go!

We’re challenging you! In addition to the usual challenge of winning your matches, we’re adding an additional challenge to get twenty-five (25) victories from today (28th of May – Noon PDT) till Friday (31st of May – 10am PDT) . Think you can do it? Well this challenge comes with a bonus – if you succeed in this challenge, you’ll get a free 3050 hologram for your cockpit!

You can track your progress here - and boast to your friends about completing this challenge the moment you complete it!

So get ready soliders!

Times:
START: May 28th 12 NOON PDT
END: May 31st 10:00AM PDT

(Challenge complete, I will reward myself with a 3050 hologram now.)

NOTE: You will receive your 3050 item this Friday, May 31st, at 10AM.

See you on the battlefield!
-The MechWarrior Online Team

Awesome challenge. Was the first I decided to participate in. I would love to see more challenges during the week like this one. I played on 3 different accounts and completed the challenge on each account. I must say, dropping trial battlemechs with a group of 4 was really fun!

Well,

I did actually manage to get lucky after all. Although heading into the last evening with 16/25, I had a bit of work to do. It certainly did not look too promising I must admit due to starting out the last afternoon/evening with 1 win out of 8 matches and needing needing 8 more to win the prized 3050 hologram. But, after about 2 1/4 hours with the help of some of the folks fine advice here, I managed to get very fortunate and had a 5 game win streak after that, then a 2 game losing streak, then a 3 game win streak....TADAAAA!

Please accept my sincere apologies for my grumpiness and venting my impious vitrol toward anyone, and in particular, the game. Although I am old, I have no excuse for it and will not make any. So, with that said, thanks again for your folks patience with me and more importantly, for your kind advice and help. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks huh?

We'll see ya on the battlefield, and if on my team and you get fragged, you can take a look inside my cockpit while piloting my Raven 3L and see my 3050 halograph proudly displayed on my dash.

Woot!
