There is a niche for small weapons with long range capabilities. Why not add them to the game?
Energy:
Maser:
0.5 tons.
1 slot
Range: 1km
Range Max: 2km
Damage: 1
Heat: very slow gradual buildup.. about half the heat flamers build up.
Special: nonstop Streaming beam. Identical to TAG laser. Damage falls off from 1km to 2km.
Ballistic:
Support Machine Gun:
1 ton
1 slot
Range: 1km
Range Max: 3km
Damage: 0.5 /bullet
Heat: none
Rate of Fire: 0.25s (twice as fast as AC2)
Ammo: 120/ton
Animation: same as machine gun but 'slower' tracers with longer tracer rounds.
