1st, there is not really much customization in WoT... there is only an arms race, which PGI tries to avoid...
2nd, gameplay? balance? WoT has the most unfair balancing i ever experienced in a "tactical" game... all the way up to tier 9+ you are a victim to 3 tiers above you tanks, with just a few exceptions. (german VK and some tank destroyers).

grafix...yea well... i suggest OP gets some glasses :D

the only thing that i like about WoT is actually the mapdesign... but PGI seems to learn lately :D

btw, i guess WoT will get into serious trouble ... warthunder gets tanks soons, and since the airforce part is utterly better than WoWarplanes, i can only imagine that the same will count for their tanks... and once navy units are also in, warthunder will be the game that wargaming missed to create :)

World of Tanks may be a better Tank game....But I can assure you that this is a better Mech game.

I hate to say it, but World of Tanks is a much better game than this.

Graphics, it beats MWO hands down.
Strategic and tactical gameplay, again beats MWO all over.
Variable unit types and a multitude of selections. Beats MWO and then some.
Different weapons feeling different? Again, hands down.
Progression? Yeah, their tech trees beat MWO yet again.
Maps? Variation in maps?

MWO is very much the exact same game every time you load in. WoT is very much not. PGI really needs to make some serious changes.

the new levels do seem to be progressively getting more interesting, except alpine: i like the size of it but most of the level is just hills of varying sizes. it really seems kind of bland compared to everything else.

edit: i played WoT and it is far more grindtastic than this game ever imagined being. also low level tanks don't even have the option to hurt high level tanks, no matter how skilled the driver is. it is realistic, but pumping over 100 rounds into an enemy tank without ever doing any damage at all kinda falls in my "not fun" category.

I agree. MWO is trash. Tried to like it, loved the previous games, but between the poor performance on my high end gaming rig (4.5ghz i5, 8gb ddr 3, ssd and GTX 680), the snails pace updates, the fact every round feels the same as the last and the fact that beta is being used to solve alpha problems, I only occasionally visit the website to see if this train wreck of a game has been fixed.

Given today's games I see it still has not (in what world is it acceptable for somebody that lives in London to have a ping of 180 every single game? European servers maybe, that aren't running on ISDN lines?)

I had a lot of fun with WoT but if you want a game currently running parallel with MWO check out War Thunder - better in every conceivable way. Yeah, there's no robots but I prefer smooth tactical gameplay over the requirement of robots.

So disappointed in this game.

Dude, I get 330 ping every match and I do fine.

Everyone here forgets one simple fact. Play ANYTHING for a long time, and it gets repetitive. WoT, while 'realistic', lacks what I call 'fun'. It follows a linear tech tree which is plain boring. SPG's play a game of 'whack a mole' and they must play a repetitive game too.

Warthunfer, while nice, is just another WWII game. I had honestly believed that we had moved on from this ****, but apparently not.
