so the fact that only 1 mech has LEG hit-boxes larger than the model has what to do with their speed? as it stands you can miss a ravens legs and it will still register as a hit. This needs to be fixed.

In another couple of months they can go back and look at the Ravens, after a large number of them have been killed due to coding.

By that logic, we should nerf other mechs above and beyond what's actually needed. No, that's not how balance works. Ravens weren't the only ones benefiting from the netcode and latency issues. Does that mean every other fast mech 'deserves' to be legged by just aiming in the general direction of their leg?
The hitboxes need to be looked at. Not just for Ravens, but for many mechs, now that we have HSR (and thus super-accurate lasers and ballistics). Streaks need fixing too, but that's another topic. They may wait to do this till after HSR for missiles is in, though.
I get that it's popular to hate on Ravens, but it's getting old, and it doesn't help the overall game.

I thought the leg hitbox fixes were more to the hitboxes being too complex to receive damage properly, and being simplified. Well, that and the fix for splash damage calculations that hit at about the same time.

I'd rather have stupid easy to hit legs than stupid easy to hit CT like the Jenner.
Of course, the Cicada has both.

i agree. legging ravens is hilarious. especially at 500+ meters. shots that miss because they go between the legs in other mechs register as hits with ravens..

It's the worst mech to hit (without SSRM) at the moment, and legging/killing any other light mech feels like shooting a stationary target compared to a Spider. Add ECM to that and you get a mech which can survive even when surrounded by half of the opposing team.
I wonder why nobody complains about them.

Probably because Spider's can't carry a weapon loadout that allows them to be a serious threat. They're annoying and hard to kill, but there's also relatively little risk of being killed by one.

Anecdotal evidence does not prove a point, though. I'm pretty sure almost every possible combination of 1v1 fights already took place in this game with differing results, but that does not mean all the 'Mechs are actually equal.
And I love Spiders and have scored enough kills with my 5D on all sorts of 'Mechs (and got killed by pretty much everything including a 5K). But generally speaking, they are not any more dangerous than Ravens, or Jenners are in the hands of an equally skilled pilots.
The fact is, the Raven's leg hitboxes are it's only downside and a bit of a balancing factor towards other Lights (Jenner mostly, of course). It's kind of a trade-off for the sleek body that allows it to spread the damage over all the torso sections more easily.
