Grats to the medium pilots who managed to excel while playing the "hard-mode" weight class.

Out of curiosity; What were the top BlackJack pilots running? I could not for the life of me break out of 1400.

Like the top Hunchbacks, it appears they were running Death Star builds. All medium lasers, STD engine.

The tournament page mentioned a special cosmetic item as the grand prize for each chassis. Was this in error, or will we be getting those on Friday with the 25 Victories prize?

@Kaeb

How did you manage to break 2k pts? What was your average number of kills/damage?

It has nothing to do with averages, and everything to do with playing 10 extremely high-scoring games.

Okay.... do you recall the numbers? I'm just curious for comparison to my own match scores.

As for averages, I had the highest score during the tournament (2245) or an average match score of (224.5). Based upon the scoring formula this translates to an average ten matches of: 5 Kills | 3 Assists | 817.5 Damage | Survive | Win Match. For a 2000 score, you're looking at around: 4 Kills | 4 Assists | 600 Damage | Survive | Win Match.

Thanks Kaffeangst!

I was averaging around 3 kills/4 assists and around 300 dmg and this was alternating between a BJ-3 and BJ-1X with all medium lasers.

I believe all my higher scoring rounds involved more kills and less assists. i had a number of six kill two assist win and survive 600+ damage rounds. I needed one more of those than I ended up with to take first. Near the end of tournament my lowest score round was around 190, which is like 4 kill 3 assist win survive 600 damage.

Every kill/win/survive is worth 300 damage, and every assist/death/loss worth 150

Would be fine, if the first 10 gets a prize. It's damn hard to get there. I made it to 11. in the heavy s and this was more hard work then a game.

If you are running a BJ-1X, it's lasers, lasers, and more lasers.
