Even more pleasing is that we know that they have code for catching a depressed key as repeating. It is how we turn our 'mechs.

I enjoy how chat will duplicate itself at random, and send multiple identical messages when you just type something once. And how it breaks if the person you are spectating dies, or the game ends while you type. Not even getting into the backspace thing.

PGI didn't work on it, as it seems. To acuse them of being unable to do it is really embarrassing. You should be ashamed. But I guess you're just flaming because you're angry for not getting what you want. Stop posting threads. Forever.

Possibly because they have a brand new UI coming out in some months.

Second this. There's literally no point in working on the current UI, both front-end and in-game, until the new system is in place. It's just a waste of everyone's time. Engine fixes, like the duplicate messages, sure...but element additions like scrollbars and key detections can and should wait. It just makes sense, really.

Except for the part where that turn is controlled by CryEngine while the HUD is controlled by Flash. It has to do with limitations in how Flash communicates with CryEngine.
Your argument is irrelevant.

I'm actually a bit more curious about how they broke backspace in the first place, since it WAS working before...
