Is it just me or are all the mechs now running slower? I swear I was running my dragon and instead of run at 89k it felt like I was running 68k.

It does feel like a stealth nerf to allow masc mechs to be faster but stay within the speed cap. Perhaps I'm just paranoid though.

Haven't noticed it at all. Still been tooling around in my Commando at 139kph as always.

Obviously, there were changes to the speed of legged mech's. It wouldn't surprise me if a bug was transferring some of that to healthy mech's too.

The Speedscale has been compressed for sure!

Acceleration feels slower. Speed feels ok. LBX-10s are still a ******* joke.

Mech speeds have been compressed. Check footage on YouTube of Jenners and Spiders running at 150 kph from only a few months ago to recent footage and the difference is obvious.

I agree feels like the game engine is running slower- 150k used to feel pretty quick but now feels slower. Three slightly larger maps helps with perception its slower but I think engine nerf has happened.

My jenner feels like my dragon now at top speed

PGI devs answers said:

Thorqemada: What has happened to the general Mechspeed (kph)? It can say that the speed differences between the weightclasses seem to be compressed (means there is significant less difference). This hurts the differentation between the Weightclasses and Mediums especially. Any enlightment you can give us PGI?
A: Eventually we plan to increase the speed cap, until then the ranges are going to stay the same. There is still quite a variance of 2x from light to assault.

Noticed this too. Video clips of my raven 3L taken while running a few months ago, compared to video clips of same mech now show a noticeable difference. Yet speed stated ingame back then was 159 kph, and now it says 150 kph - but visually there's a much larger difference than that.
