The Devs are doing a great job. This game is growing with every update. One of the best games i have ever played.
For me it's more a donation than a fixed price for xyz.

I started playing a month ago tomorrow. Is it stunningly obvious the game is still in Beta? Yes. Am I overall satisfied. Yes. Do weapons need some work. Oh hell yes!

MWO has a ton more depth than Hawken fyi.

It's really amazing just how much work the Devs have accomplished.

Sometimes the community is so passionate and watches things so closely they can't tell that the mountain is actually growing.

:)

Maybe they could change the Hawken armors to look like the Battle Suits in Bubblegum Crisis.

Only half right, the game is in Open Beta/Soft Launch. Not the same thing apparently.

steady daily population with bursts of players at every update. most are on/off again players waiting for the community warfare to begin.

Only an Ivy League PR representative for the IRS would differentiate the two :)

Game is growing. Large community (occasionally toxic as most online communities are), but mostly good people.

Sometimes the game is frustrating, but I've spent almost a year in it now and am looking forward to many more.

Well. PGI plans too much stuff bundled with release of UI 2.0, as it's required for almost every feature they announced, and UI 2.0 itself coming somewhere about release which is approximately in September.
So, i have no idea if any real "grows" would happen until then.

I also noticed that the open beta of Hawken is much worse than the game that appears in older videos with "work in progress". The game really lost focus and many players.

QFT! Hawken used to feel far more like CounterStrike: Source with robots... only a little better. It was massivly unforgiving and you ended up with a tense, zero sum game. The Devs where also taking player feedback seriously(before a certain robohunter made a point of verticle movement in the maps we didn't have jump pads and things where uber-campy). At that point(Alpha) I really though Hawken would compete with MWO despite the disparity in graphics due to Unreal engine vs. Cryengine.

Then all of a sudden they went and carved Hawken into little bits of Noob Biscuit because people where getting killed really fast for running out in the open without thinking. This became a trend in the patches until we ended up with what Hawken is now... a bizzare and poorly implemented FPS cross betwen TF2 and LoL. Stay with MWO... it's just better.
