I think ELO builds a strong and a weak lance in each group.
Have you also noticed this?
Do you think it is an Alpha versus Beta lance kind of thing?

I think that tends to be because it puts premades on the same lance. In games without premades, it tends to be pretty random, as far as I can tell.

I don't know. I was pugging in the BJ. So it definetly wasn't a 4 man.

Do you say that because you aren't always in the top ranked lance?

if you KNOW it's a premade, the scores tend to be similar outside of randomness (some people do die because poop happens).
Outside of that, it's more or less random. Consistency between matches tends to affect ELO favorably and increases difficulty.... inconsistencies tend to continue to group you with other consistently inconsistent players.

Strong winning lance is a premade that killed all the impatient pug players off first securing an early lead forcing the losing premade (losing strong lance) to fight 8 v 4.
This scenario is the leading cause of 4 man premade teams (and their pug team mates) losing. It's very annoying that half my team has comms the other team members (pugs) need to be psychic or pause to read/type and miraculously not get killed for having divided attention.
If all members of the same team had the same tools we would be talking to our team mates rather than guessing what the puggies/premade are going to do next.
As it is now when a premade is on each side the win goes to the team that kills the puggies off faster to secure the lead. This is unacceptable to me to have HALF my team religated to designated casualties because they are off plan or the premade unaware of where to support the pugs.
Intergrated comms is a must to put an end to the divide between members of the same team!
