Honestly I prefer not to wait for everyone (but the disconnected...) to get going before I get started, but it really irks me when a teammate shoots me in the back (or as I like to call it, pees on my leg).
This stems from my feeling about all of the test firing, which I realize will never end and has already been discussed in the forums.
Perhaps the best part is, when you wait half the mechs turn to look at you as they walk past...which makes you wanna...take a deep breath...
There...I feel a little better already!

LOL... unless it is River City I never move immediately and always torso twist at the spawn. That way only one of my arms gets shot off by the Stalker testing whether he is in chain or group fire on his 6 PPCs.

I haven't been shot at the beginning of a match in months.
The higher you go in the Elo ratings the less you get shot by your own teammates!

true. when it does happen, there tends to be a lot of chat about it. usually with apologies.

A few times it is due to the player clicking back on the game screen instead of using Alt Tabbing. Just be thankful now that all weapons are not defaulted to 1st trigger

I thought this thread was going to be about waiting for others to move ahead of you so you aren't first to enter the enemy's LOS.

I usually move out very quickly, then turn around to look at the team. Less chance of getting shot lol

I rarely get shot anymore, but maybe that is ELO kicking in. Personally, I don't really care about it anymore. Got enough games under my skin to realize that it just doesn't matter. If I am letting people hit my backside, that's my fault and the extra damage my team mate caused isn't going to mean a lot.

I did alpha a Clan mate once in the right arm/torso and that was completely accidental. I apologized profusely on comms. I have to say that I see more FF accidents in PUGs than in 4/8 mans.
I had a someone turn on me because someone else shot him and fired at me... then I cored him.
I'll take the c-bill hit, and I still made money that round, the ********** that hit me...got nothing.
I have no idea who actually fired the initial shot. Two wrongs don't make a right but 9 meds to the head make a hole.

I would still expect automatic penalties for shooting team mates before anyone takes enemy damage.
Meh ... don't think we need MWO to turn into a nanny-state. It's not that big of a deal in general, so no real need to introduce programming, and possible bugs, when it not a significant issue.

If ur a light you're best letting the big boys scoot so you don't get bumped and damaged. But in general if ur waiting so long as to garner "looks" from the last to move out, then take the hint.
