Ok, i think i got this right, the only thing i'm still no shure of, is salvage bonus

For instance, if you were to shoot the legs off of an enemy mech, leaving his torso/arms/etc intact, you get a bonus for "salvaging" that equipment and not destroying it.

...at least I think that's how it works. =P

IIRC salvage is only based off dead mechs. You already get paid for component destruction.
So if it's a cap race the rewards are the absolute minimum as you get you salvage, destruction or any combat/spotting bonus.

Isnt that like a survival bonus? Like youre still alive after your team won so heres some prizes

I was under the impression that the salvage bonus was from destroying enemy mechs with the least amount of item damage to them.. for instance, you encounter a mech, you damage their legs until they die...you get a "salvage" bonus for the things you didn't destroy...like their expensive XL engine, gauss rifle in the torso, lasers in the arms etc..

Someone please correct me if I'm wrong..
