I almost always go for the head. I generally end up hitting the center torso. If a mech is already wounded in a spot- then I expand on it. If I'm light an mobile I take out assault legs as I noticed some tend to skimp on their leg armor.

Center Mass. Gives the best chance to hit. It also improves killing Catapults, Cataphracts & Awesomes by Head Shots. :)

I always start with the ct of their mech but if I am getting more hits on right or left then I focus on finishing off that part before continuing ct.
