^I would imagine they'd use Solaris for instant action scenarios.

I agree with most of your general sentiment. But...

With all due respect, this is a public forum and not the * XXX* beta forums, and the same community manager and some moderators are responsible for both games.

Editing your post to remove pieces of information that are not yet meant for public eyes may be to your advantage.

Again, I agree with the basic premise, except that I feel a player driven economy is not necessarily a good idea, as it encourages farming and disadvantages those that have not been playing long enough toi have a hoard of c-bills. See also WoW BoE epics and rare mounts like the TimeLost Protodrake or Poseidus and the horrendous prices they can bring in the AH, prices most non-hardcore players will ever be able to pay. It makes the game massively attractive for china farmers, further screwing over the casual gamers by having people /bots do nothing but camp amnd farm these items, giving "Normal" players almost no chance to acquire them through traditional means.

Not saying this is WoW, god Forbid, but the potential for abuse is massive as soon as such items come into play.

how about expidiate jumpships travel for MC. Crews all works faster when you put a little extra in the pay envelope. Only so many jumpships and you have to be put in que to travel between systems unless you bribe the jumpship crew.

This is an obvious P2W mechanic. Pay real money, be able to conquer more planets in the same time than a non-paying player, skewing the results of CW in your favor.

I envisioned a meta game that had a market place for houses. Where mechs were bought. A black market were mechs were bid on. mechs of greater ability were rare forcing auction prices up.

I don't think the game was ever intended to have a player driven economy,a good thing as far as I concerned. The last thing we would need is people messing up the economy so small lasers cost more then a atlas just for laughs

New players started out in a house or a unit and were issued a mech. Random roll. leaning towards more common mechs with less a chance of getting the rares.

A chat room where houses leveled deals with mercs and sat up fights with other houses over control of worlds. and weight limits were set and such.

I envisioned more than that as well. Hope we get to see something like this in the future.

Well hopefully community warfare will have some form of weight and/or class limits but I think the plan is to have PGI acting as gamemasters and control the houses and whom their fight with. We will be playing the roll of grunts in the field ,not the lords of the inter sphere.

PGI could make a killing if they added a unique weapon system like MechWarrior tactics that involved salvaging (and paying to strip the salvage) something like:

kill enemy 'mech, at the end of the round you get lucky and the game tells you that you have received salvage.

you have three options to deal with it:

A - sell the salvage for scrap, gain a random amount of c-bills for it
B - hire mechanics with c-bills to strip the salvage and receive random equipment from the 'Mech, with a very low percent chance of stripping a unique weapon
C - hire ace mechanics with MC for a higher chance to receive unique weapons, a stripped chassis, large c-bill payout, ect.

Unique weapons would be ike Defiance 1001 ER PPCs or Diverse Optics Medium Lasers which have changed stats, ie a little longer effective range but longer recharge rate, or extra damage against armor but some more heat.

then have a global marketplace where players can sell off equipment.

Way more interactive, more customization options, and a reward that gives incentives to people to pay mc to get a chance at cooler, unique stuff.

Yup, pay MC for a shot at better weapons... The P2W folks would have a field day, and a legit gripe under that plan.

You have a shot for unique weapons by paying for c-bills with that proposal, you just have a shot for increased chances for using MC, as well as chances for other things like stripped mech chassis or a cache of regular weapons or a large c-bill payout. It is a chance not a guarantee that you are paying real money for, but since there the proposal also adds a global market, players have a chance to buy these weapons from other players for c-bills as well.
