Yeah I agree a few things need some tweaking, SRMs as people have said.

Also there are some people whining of getting motion sickness or whatever when using jump jets. I say to them, then dont use jump jets. I dont get any motion sickness.

Infact, the patch hasnt even completely removed jump sniping, you can still do it, particularly with lasers, just takes more skill, which is fine with me. What it has stopped is games turning into jump sniping wars that looked, completely rediculous and forced anyone competative into that play style and no other.


LRM's are a sore point with some people, and they are definately something that needs a very fine balance. I completely agree that games where teams just sit a click away from each other lobbing LRMs back and forth for 10 minutes is not fun.

On the other hand, LRM's have been pretty redundant for weeks, its nice to see them viable again.

Of the games I have played so far, most have turned into brawling wars, which is great. Yet LRM's have had a buff and there is yet no heat penalty for 6 PPC alpha striking etc.

I look forward to having some good games over the coming weeks.

Sure. Too bad though that as a result of JJ-nerf I can't anymore pilot my Spidey 5D. After few matches motion sickness gives hellofa headache and shooting from air is impossible.

Still SRMs are too silly, until they won't be back to a better degree of usefulness, sniping still remains the way to go. But they'll introduce silly heat penalties even there, so we'll have to go around with frankestein mechs with two weapons of each kind to avoid those penalties.

Ah, if they'd decide to restrict hardpoint dimensions so that we can't place 6 PPCs just because there are 6 energy hardpoints.. no heat penalties, better overall variant/chassis variation, better weapon balance..

Love the patch so far. Poptarting is still possible yet the shooting window has become smaller, LRMs are getting better again and the SRM+artemis flight path is nearly perfect. Just the damage on the latter is still a bit underwhelming.

I have a strong stomach. JJ shake don't affect me ;)

Need to show my love too. Love this patch!

Now all the usual tactics are viable - brawling, sniping, LRM boating. I've tried all 3 and none feels superior/inferior compared to the others. Perhaps SRM still needed a bit of lovin', but that's the only thing I will gripe about.
