It just gives the torso a smaller and more angular profile, otherwise it is very similar to past renditions. Personally I prefer it to the old timberwolf, as this makes much more sense from a military point of view, and is in my opinion more aesthetic.

I could see it as a Mad Cat IV, or V, or MDCCCXLVII, or whatever-the-hell-number-of-Mad Cat-variants-we're-up-to.

There's a IV. Not sure if there is a V yet.

too much like a jet fighter. mechs are supposed to be big ugly and tank like, not bipedal f22's

Looks like a Champion, Crab, and a Catapult had babies. Not a big fan of the unnecessarily super-large missile pods and feet. Good effort, but a bit too anime-ish for me to like.

I quite like it, it looks a little like a Puma (adder) with LRM racks and shed loads more gear.

Personally, I think it looks more like the MW3 rendition of the Ebon Jaguar/"Cauldron-Born" than a Timber Wolf/"Mad Cat".

Looks like it's sliding toward anime style to me. Not far but a bit.

I think its the legs that give me that impression the most.
