Is anyone else having trouble with getting your front armor destroyed when taking all hits to the rear?
I've had this many times since about two patches ago. Run around map nothing in front of me, taking hits to the rear and watch as my front CT goes open then eventually POP, cored out from shots to my rear, yet all damage is front side.

Very rarely. I used to see this bug fairly often several patches ago, but haven't seen it for a couple of months. Be aware that in a number of mechs, your CT can be struck from behind by hitting near the top of your 'head', and by head I do not mean the cockpit itself, but rather the body mass that is shaped like a head, as in an Atlas, Highlander, etc.

What mech are you in?
Some are more vulnerable.

Any humanoid mech with a head that sticks above the body is very vulnerable to taking damage to front CT from behind
ESPECIALLY from LRMs since the current arc has them coming from almost directly above you

I had the opposite. Got hit by PPCs + gauss in the front CT and......front CT remained unscathed while my rear CT armor was completely gone.

Hit boxes on some mechs are pretty screwy. Most mechs front CT's can be hit from behind by shooting their nether regions. Of course it also may be a bug.

Lately my Cicada-3M, but it's happened in everything I own, Atlas, Awesome, Cataphract, Catapult, Hunchback, Trebuchet, Cicada. It doesn't happen every match, but it's not rare for it to happen a few drops at a time.

This is what I see much more often, and find it more frustrating because I know it shouldn't even be possible on a lot of the hits that do it, as opposed to the OP issue. Even more frustrating when you had already taken a rear hit there and lose a torso to it while still having front armor.

LBXs tend to "wrap around" through the armpits of mechs. It's not really an issue and you're lucky some of the pellets hit the front rather than all in the rear.

Weapon convergence and which sections take damage from where is very, very off right now. I consistently take damage to the right torso rear on my BJ from frontal attacks. In fact, I've had the section take ERPPC60 hits that go straight to rear, destroying the subsystem, moving the excess to CTR and killing me without touching frontal or rear CT armor. From directly in front of me.
Hopefully by launch it will get worked out.
