As far as I know, MWO was tentatively scheduled to be released by the end of summer 2012 with the beta-phases occurring before then. So far, they are exactly where they said they would be.

You're questioning a Free to play games release date by a developer who wants to do nothing more than make the best possible mech game for you to enjoy.

You are entitled to NOTHING.

You should be happy they are making this game at all.

Sure, you do that. Kerensky forbid a developer might recognize when it's product isnt at the point where it will draw in the consumer and make them feel as though they gave a damn about the title they are working on.

There big secret is they care enough for them not to screw up the IP by pushing out a game as quickly as possible and hope it floats on the F2P market. They know they need to make more than a good game, they need to make a great game, and they need to make sure that game is not only worth your time, but worth it for you to pay them for additional content.

They are in a closed beta right now, which means this is the time where they do the over-haul and make sure the systems work and are acceptably balanced out for the game to work with it's competitive nature in mind. Soon there will be an open beta, which is when they will be testing server stress, larger games, and a whole wack-load of knew configs that no one has tried as more and more people try to break the game.

There are three sides to a project, Time, Money, and Quallity. You will only ever get two. Since it's free, you are either going to be sacrificing alot of time, or alot of quality. I think most of the fans of the MW/BT franchise will gladly pick quality to be priority over time.

There is no big secret it's in beta it's being worked on, things(games) take time, as said above I've only heard of summer/ 2H 2012.

Otherwise game delays are the norm so if it slips a quarter or so that is the norm.

I'd much rather they take the time and polish the game before releasing it. Else we'd just get a whole bunch of people complaining how such and such is absolutely broken and the world will end if the bugs aren't fixed that very instant.

Besides, they always said they would release it in the Summer of 2012 (Northern Hemisphere Summer), so your information is faulty. If you are really as impatient as you sound, you're probably not the type of person this game is being aimed at anyway.

Bottom Line: Just wait it out along with the rest of us till July the 17th.

LOL, Speaking like PG has something to prove to you. If you only care for the game and not about what exactly PG is accomplishing by this, please leave this forums or learn how to be patient. The more you wait for it, the more you will enjoy it when it actually comes out. Just chill dude

I think OP needs to chill and spend that time in the old MW. Like the rest of us are doing.. .while we wait. Patiently(ish). Without throwing a tantrum. EDIT: ( you rectified your outburst before i could post this. well done sir)

You can play the game July 17th. Like the rest of us.

Yes. Yes, it is. I thought you knew.
The game doesn't actually exist, and this entire site is a huge prank being played by the gaming community.

1. Like a dozen of others already said: the game launch was announced end of summer (august if i am correct)
2. seriously i would like to wait another 1-2 months and play a proper game without any glithes, bugs and co. this is more annoying than waiting a bit

Ok, here's the truth.

There is no Mechwarrior Online.

The entire thing has been an elaborate art project, and you all have been excellent participants in it.

Thank you all for making Mechwarrior Online a complete success.

Actually free to play models usually make more money than subscription.

As someone who plays League of Legends among other FTP games, I know this. That was not my point at ALL.
