I don't expect new players to have read every dev blog or read ever major topic; But the FAQ is an easy way to get up to speed before starting your barrage of questions. Most folks here will gladly answer your questions or point you to the correct dev blog to find your answers, but some things have literally been asked a hundred times already and are usually addressed in the FAQ.

There will probably be quests i.e. get 100 kills, make 100,000,000 c-bills or something. For everyone.
They have the whole Lone Wolf thing and from what I read it sounds like there will be something for Lone Wolfs. Something for players who do not like playing in groups, so I'm thinking there will be some type of mission or special quests for a single player.
They seem to want to not have loners feel left out as they often do in many games, which is great for the loners. Battlestar Galactica Online is deadly if you play by yourself. Even in the biggest ship a player will very often find themselves in a sticky situation. That has to be a bad thing for players who don't like teaming much or only play with a friend or two.
Games like this, you need a group of 10.

Lone Wolf will not have single player mode. There are no EI NPCs in the game. The Lone Wolf will be someone who is not in a team but is doing random battles. So even house player could doLone Wolf Randoms by them selves. A Lone Wolf fills in the Whole in Randoms were needed.

Single player, most people play it through once and they're done; you need to charge a lot of money up front because there is no recurring cycle of money flowing into the game if it's a campaign. A robust PVP title will keep going on and on and on and generate a huge number more of play-hours than any single player campaign.
Maybe later, they'll have the maps and mechs and those resources done, so then thy just need script and code and single player game content... Easier said than done, and it doesn't generate as much profit for the same development cost.
