Please Give Us Map Rotations

This same map loading time after time is not fun, I now quite games, because I'm bored of playing the same map, and like some others have mentioned, some maps now never load, or very rarely.....Please sort it out.....

I suggested in another thread that maybe their matchmaking algorithm should bump you to the next queued match if the matchmaker tries to put you on the same map you just played.

Agreed I'm sick of getting tourmaline four times in a row, it's bad when you start to miss river night.

That'll make it harder for them to get data on new maps though... IMHO they just need to avoid making any more maps like Alpine.

I'm updating the OP thread,.. here is my current map rotation, getting pretty sad when the new map is already catching up,.. I am starting to dump Terra Stupid, and reconnecting,..


Forest Colony 44
Frozen City 58
Caustic Valley 63 River City 72
Forest Colony Snow 76
Frozen City Night 67

Alpine Peaks 74
Tourmaline "glitchfest" Desert 107

map rotation has been ask for so many times now, ive lost count, and still we get no answer, I think they must think, that we must like playing the same map over and bloody over again...... but are we not going to get map voting? witch might help.

Maps already rotate, but it might behoove you to know how.

Every game "room" runs on an independent virtual server. Once one match is done, the server rotates to the next map in the list.

Each server resets the map list every time a new patch rolls out.

On the first day of the patch, it is rare to see the same map twice in a row. However, with the slight variations in match delay, the next 2-3 days after a patch, you can often see the same map many times in a row. Give it 4-5 more days, and everything will straighten itself out. As time goes on, the rotation becomes more varied because of the difference in time it takes for matches to resolve.

When certain maps need additional telemetry, they are added multiple times to the Master Map List.

Until people start posting map holes and map glitches using [F9]+Screenshot, they're going to bump Terra Therma's rotation order a smidge more often.

The O.P.'s idea has been stated before, they don't want people choosing maps unless you're doing community warfare.

Not sure I can really "get into" cw with only 9 maps.

Terra therma 4 times in a row two nights ago, then 3 times in a row last night.

I'm also starting to think about quitting maps that I'm sick of, which will put my team a man down.

The ability to deselect maps you don't want to play would be nice.

Yes, actually, I do. I kind of miss it, since there were three maps in rotation- played tonight and got 12 straight games of Terra Therma and Tourmaline. 12 games in a row on hot, wide-open, huge maps. I look back at those three maps and wonder why they never come up in rotation, and wonder how there could be so much variation between the three and so little between the newer maps.

I guess it could be worse. At least Alpine rarely comes up anymore.

Alpine: 516
Terra: 146 (feels like more)
Tourmaline: 702

Thats right tourmaline 702 times.

And i am amazingly sick of that map.

Especially as of late it goes Terra>Terra>Terra>Terra>Tourmaline then back to fudging Terra Therma.

I have the same problem with terra. I am not sure how they are structured in the dev team, but I would sacrifice two months worth of new, over-priced mechs to more game types and maps.

I constantly bounce back and forth between tourmaline desert and terra therma. Occasionally I'll play on frozen city and caustic valley.
