You know Helmer there must be nothing worse than moderating a close beta forum and not playing - I hope they didn't do that to any of you guys - not that you could say either way.

I did find a couple of leaks here and there, but I'm not looking very hard. Anyway, the ones I found have disappeared pretty quick.

I was going to say that at least the leaks mean that there really is a beta in progress, but what if the leaks are being staged just to make it look like there's a beta.....

my opinion about there delivery of this beta with a huge sign looming at the top of every page gives people a feeling that everyone is going to eventually get a key causing this reaction when there must be some server stability issues and they can't issue the amount of keys they wanted to, or just didn't foresee this reaction to the big yellow sign.

Eh it's not so bad. You figure there are 4K beta testers now, and 141K of us on this side of the Velvet rope, so I'm sure Garth and Bryan have it handled. Of course if they *NEED* help I'd be more than happy to oblige.
It was a compliment when Garth said the Moderators were too important to the smooth functioning of the website to be ....playing.....beta. Right? RIGHT!? Garth?

I will silently wait for my beta key like over half our community members are doing... I will refrain from mentioning I DESERVE A BETA KEY and will cease insisting that "I" receive any special dispensation...

That said... the devs need to know that I know where Canada is... I've got Google, a vehicle that could theoretically make that trip and a passport... I'm like only 825 miles, 100 rest stops and a case of Monster away from you guys... I like camping.

I'm watching you guys...

The Devs are in Canada...Obama has no power there to implement and/or increase entitlement programs. I prefer the capitalist route over an entitlement anyway. No more playing around...just let us buy them!

Good one OP. Thanks for posting a nice mirror through which many who laconically peruse mech-entitlement like myself can laugh at themselves. I believe most of us ancient entitlists are tempering their patient edge with the thought that "at least the nubs who get beta will be more knowledgable than me on actual mechanics" I get to be a n00b again and the n00bs are vets @ start. Its like I get a reboot too, but this time, the distance to end game is measured in quanta. Sweet! This kinda also makes it the ultimate challenge to only use earned in game cbills, unfortunately.

I should be entitled to a Mad Cat Mk II with gauss rifles and Clan streaker missiles and Clan pulse lasers, oh, and did I also mention it should have max armour and LAMS, and jump jets and the all important reactive armour? And 20 million c-bills so I can afford to buy useless bling for my cockpit!
