I have read the sarma wiki about SRM's and found out they have a simple guidance system.
Simple, but it is still there, and it is adapted to ECM.
I also know from researching Streaks and reading novels is that streak SRM's are actually more accurate than LRM's and are more clustered together meaning they can hit a single part.

So this is all I propose:

SRM:
Put a small guidance system in the weapon. Whenever you target a enemy and put your reticule over him and fire, the missiles will slightly follow the guy, but won't turn sharply or anything. It would slowly guide itself to the target. There is no locking on or anything and it is not affected by ECM.
(This would make SRM's viable against light ECM mechs)
For a example on how this would look, in Halo 3 a fuel rod gun's projectiles had slight guidance when fired on a target. You can look up how it looks like on some videos and will see it is slight.

Streaks:
Streaks should be more accurate, more precise. When you fire on the enemy, the Streaks should cluster and hit a target component.

Lastly, a targeting suggestion:
Like in MW3, you can target certain components of a mech. I would like to see this implemented. You can select a component to target and any missiles you fire will try to hit that target component as it will be their priority.
This would also work very well when targeting computers come when the clans invade.

streaks cant be more accurate than 100%, actually, streaks should work like you described the srms, just semi guided and not the 360 degree fire and forget weapon we have now.
