I'm almost about ready to say F this game b/c of this patch, My latency jumped to 10x normal with this patch, not to mention the new reticule ******** which completely gets rid of Jump snipes. Wat do you guys just love LRMs for long range only? It was hard enough to aim jumping as it was. Coupled with the freaking lag, this game is now unplayable. I'm now sorry for buying mech with jumpjets at all. Yet even without them the new lag issues still make it impossible to play. I went frtom 89-93 ping to avg 500, with spikes upto 2000. I bet its related as well to the reticule randomness, think about it... every time someone jets, it has to recalculate origin and ending point of the trajectory of fire, it probably even has to update this with all nearby mechs, and their FPS. This addition was a dumb, and I'm about ready to quit b/c of it.

I'm having issues too. Before patch I had a ping of about 120-140ms. Now it's 600ms.

I tested with other games, and they run just fine, so it's not my ISP.

Same for me, I'm lucky if I can even get through a whole round without getting dropped. I know it's not my connection either because I just downloaded quite a large file very quickly.

I have this problem since the May 21st patch.
Around 170 before, around 650 after.
June 4th patch was supposed to fix it, but nothing happened.
Tests i have done for support clearly show to me that our connections are fine. its changes to the game they made that are causing the high ping.
Their problem is actually finding the cause and fixing it.
Its no fun when you have ticking away premium time and you cant really play.

Since we're talking ping issues here, sitting in game ~1600. That's about x3 normal. Haven't been able to play (effectively) since May 21. I ask in-game and seems others are having the same ping issues. I'm still getting ~48fps, barely taxing pc, connection is slow (satellite) but stable, everything is up to date, repaired, and so on. No issues at all with other games/sites.

Well... [redacted] [redacted], but I signed a NDA.

Awesomely fun game, I hope to be able to play again soon.

stopped reading at "hard enough to aim jumping as it was" really it was a complete joke to jump snipe and cockpit someone and pick your exact location..

Don't agree to the choice of words from the OP, but have also ping issues.

On a sidenote: It seems like leading with laser all over again at pings around 180 and up, where as HSR should do the trick. Don't know if that's related.

My ping was going up from 100-110 to 140-210.
It was stable before the patch on May 21st.

LOL you might learn to master your mech in that case.

According to similar discussions in other threads, its been proven through alot of user testing that MWO creates so much traffic that modems / routers see it as a DOS attack (denial of service) and your device will start cutting off traffic. Some users have eliminated this issue by disabling DOS protection on their modems / routers altogether. I recommend you look at your router configs and disable this.

This is of course a workaround for a problem with the game and not your PCs or your ISPs.

Good Luck, beta tester.
