before I move further, I would like to receive some design feedback on my approach. I do plan to use the original arms.

looks good. Be curious on the arms, I prefer the MW4 version, but will hold judgement til I see what you got planned.

Nice start, though I think your perspective is slightly off on the chin turret.

What I'm planning to do is a combination of both MW4 version and the original one.

No, please, use the original arms! MW2 was far the best.
It just looks like awesome ;)

Yes, I will be using the original arms. It's just the body that's a combination of both MW2 and MW4.

Well, this is my small update. Still procrastinating... and yes, it is moving sideways. If you've followed my MWOfied timberwolf, you'll be aware of my sluggish pace of drawing.

Ooh, loving the direction this is going, the Maddog needs those vicious needle-like lasers on it's arms. Regarding it's legs, isn't it going to have "bird legs" with reversed knees?

It is going to be a chicken walker. It just looks awkward right now but it's actually running while firing sideways.

Now that I think about it, would you guys prefer if the legs are aligned with the torso or should I keep it strafing?

strafing might clutter the pic up too much. Personally I think to best represent the reinterpretation that you're going for, the design needs to show movement, however it should not criss-cross it's lines, if you know what I'm getting at. (I'm not an artist.)

I dunno, I think criss-crossing is much preferable vs. parallel lines in composition. Maybe I should adjust it to give it a more dynamic "jolt".
