Experiencing Alternated Steamrolling?

And so, you lose, go one point down in ELO rating, and PUG with another team, which manage to die in 30 secs again. Marry-go-round.
It's just a joke to see owned damage 250+ (average 350+) in cataphracts (eiher it Ilya or 1-X), while about 4 of your teammates have done less, than 100. It's OK, if it's blackjack, but totally funny to see D-DC or RS with 40-45 pts.

One thing is certain, "close matches" are those I call in the range of 5-8 to 7-8, these happen rarely; they usually make my day even when I lose, but they have become less frequent, the usual thing that happens is 1/3 of my team decide that's good to die within the first minute of play and when the other 8 have numerical advantage, you most of the times get steamrolled.

Yes, that's the screenshot I intended to post. I didn't take a screenshot of the massacre I was talking about, because I just wanted to forget it. In the massacre game I also could only spectator and confirm the stock builds of 2 my team members, as at that point most of my team was already dead, save for these couple that didn't know where to go in the first place. The screenshot is from an earlier game, in which the majority of the trials were on the enemy side, I had targeted those enemies and can thus be sure they were stock builds instead of just good pilots in decent mechs having a bad day.
I should've been more clear about it, sorry. I was a bit frustrated.

I do that too. Saying "Good Steamroll" has a very effective way of consistently shutting up overbearing winners.

And I have had a few games with 0:8 outcomes that were actually very close, one time EVERY single enemy mech had yellow to red CT internals, and 3 had no side torsos, my team actually did more damage than the other team. We just never quite managed to get a finishing blow. Was it close yes, could 1 PPC spider have maybe killed all 8 if it suddenly appeared at end of game, maybe. BUT it as 0:8 so a complete blowout if that is your only measure.
Personally I think about 50% of my games are landslide victory or losses, fairly even for either. And I have not noticed any alternating. I have noticed in a landslide victory I tend to be 3rd-6th in damage for my team. And in a landslide defeat I tend to be first to second. But while this may constitute 200-300 matches it still really is not statistically relevant.

I can live with that. Like someone earlier said, no respawns means you're seeing an exponential increase in the chances for a loss (especially a steamroll) the more mechs you lose, and the earlier you do it without taking someone down on the other side.
Everyone should be trying to get at least 1 kill/game.

About half my matches are close, or what I'd call good with damaged winning teams and the other half are steamrollers one way or another.

They use the same psychology as casinos:

You will never win. You will only be kept close enough to the carrot to make sure you keep running.

Curiously, it often seems like the matchmaker is pairing up the wrong 8 mechs. That is to say, one side gets 8 good pilots, the other side gets 8 bad. I wonder if some coder made a mistake when pairing up the correct 4+4 for either side - why on earth would it put "my" skilled 4 man group together with another skilled 4 man group, then a bunch of trial mechs on the other side?
(Disclaimer: roughly 5500 matches total, win/loss 1.15 - Elo rating should be at least ok).

There are nights where, it seems, I just cannot win. 8-0 stomps five, six matches in a row. Maybe the occasional 8-3, and certainly at least on 7-0 (yes, a 0-kill stomp where the other team had a disconnect. I am apparently that @#$%ing terrible now.)
Other nights, it seems, I predominantly end up on the team doing 8-0 stomps, with the occasional loss or more balanced match result.
Playing PUG or with my team, such as it is, makes little overall difference.
The problem, to me, is two-fold:
First, this game lends itself to the 8-0 stomp in many cases; losing one mech just starts a domino effect, particularly when one team is focusing fire (PUG or TS or whatever) and the other team is not. Or one team splits up, the other doesn't.
Secondly, I think your own mood (or, I know that my own mood) influences both your performance, and your reaction to that performance, more than a lot of us think.
And lord knows my moods change like the tides; when I'm crazy and down on myself and such, FAIL FAIL FAIL confirmation bias that I do indeed suck. When I'm in a decent mood, I either do better, or perceive myself to be doing better.
Now, not all of us are crazy. But I bet at least most of us are
