BAP only counters ECM if within 200m. How in the world does that solve information and lock denial? It doesn't. Same thing with seismic. The counter they introduced is a lovely consumable (UAV).
And why are there so many stupid people in this thread. Easy mode? Was that my suggested solution? Try reading and then comprehending before you hit the reply button. A two way blackout is not an easy mode at all. It levels the playing field. But then again, seems that is a concept that goes over most of your heads.

When Are You Going To Fix Ecm?

I dropped with 4 DDCs, 1 Spider 5D, and 1 Raven 3L in a match earlier today. Anytime you see that level of use for a single module then there might be some remaining balance issues.
Don't even get me started on seismic sensor. That module definitely needs a balancing pass.

Well you are right although i admit that poptarting was much more difficult - in comparison with the PPC Stalker..because you need an additional action (hitting the spacebar)

Both, however, are much harder than using ECM, which is - install it in your 'Mech

Easily fixed if they make it so it only works when the user is still, or a function of the speed where the faster the user is moving, the less range seismic can pick up

I just wish that ECM and BAP did what they were intended to do:
BAP: Detect enemies beyond the normal sensor capabilities
ECM: Block the detection of BAP, remove Artemis bonus, block NARC and disrupt C3 (yeah, C3 is right around the corner).
There would never have been any problems if they did this right from the start, they could have avoided the "ECM is OP" spectacle altogether.

We have allready C3 - look you can fire your LRMs on any target within 1000m range even without LOS. So there is allready a C3 module.
I have run several rounds of thinking...just thinking - not spreadsheeting

How to change electronic warfare? And everything of EW is about indirect fire and spotting targets.
- LRM for indirect fire can only achieved lock by the Spotter
- alternative is hitting the TARGET with TAG when LRM Salvo is underway
- NARC can improve spread even for indirect fire
- alternative is hitting the TARGET with TAG when LRM Salvo is underway
- ECM dissrupts communitcation - when spotter is covered by enemy ECM - no LRM rain
- C3 modules have to be introduced (maybe they should right walk towards C3i)
- those modules work like current plus have a dynamical zoom mode based on the distance of the next friendly unit towards target
- can be disrupted by ECM

We don't have C3 in this game, not even with target sharing; In Battletech, indirect fire is possible without C3 and not affected by ECM, at all. Spotting for indirect fire does not equate to C3 - C3 provides bonuses for all weapons fire, ballistic, energy or missile. All Battlemechs can share target information, C3 goes beyond that and shares targeting computer ability.
The best way to put C3 in is if they changed how convergence works -- ie shots took longer to converge depending on how far your target was away, and C3 let you use the convergence speed of a closer C3 spotter. C3 could also provide friendlies with the ability to target all enemies on a spotter's radar screen, rather than just the enemy he has targeted like currently.
