Anything with enough speed to keep up and more streaks than they have usually gets the job done.

Try this Centurion. It's speedy too:

You carry 1 less MLAS than a RVN 3L but you can take a ton of damage.

Treb 3C - 300XL Endo Artemis 4x ML 2x ASRM6 106kph when Mastered.
Jenner F - 300XL Ferro Endo 6x ML fired in banks of 2. 152kph when Mastered.
Com 2D - 195XL 3x SSRM TAG. Gotta watch the heat on this build as it relies on SHS.

DHS
ECM
LB10-X - 3 tons of ammo
2 medium lasers
2 small lasers
The Cicada is quick enough to keep up with the lights and the lb10-X is great for nail'n chicken legs.
Also the Blackjack BJ-1X
I run 1 Large, 3 meds, 4 smalls and 17DHS with max XL engine.

Blackjack-1X with 8ML (MPL do more damage with a shorter burn, but the range means you get off roughly 1 less volley vs a fleeing light, not to mention fewer heatsinks)
Treb-7M with ML/MPL/SSRM, 325XL, and a jet or two
Double AC/20 Jagermech

Cicada 3M and Centurion 9D-both fast, got some beams, and the Cent has 2 SRM 4packs.
I find that pulse lasers and SSRM/SRM and the LBX are the best light-killing weapons; with a lot of skill other weapons can do better, but if you're looking for "I HATE THOSE RAVENS AND SPIDERS THEY MUST DIE" I'd aim towards these weapons.

XL 280 Engine (69.7 KPH before speed tweak)
Endo-Steel
400 Armor
1.35 Heat Efficiency
2xLB10-X
4xMlas
5 tons LBX ammo
Seems to be very effective. At least for legging, though not for chasing.

It is but I think that it will be bad against a competent light pilot. For example in my Jenner I would hit and run you into the ground relatively quickly due to your slow speed. If there's even a little bit of cover around us for me to duck and weave around, you're toast.
Certainly if you caught me off guard I would suffer some serious pain.

I guess I thought OP was looking for something that wasn't so heavy. I mean, my 4xppc aws-8q takes off the legs and side torsos of any light in one hit, and if the ct has taken 5 damage or more, kills in one hit there too. I mean, it is an incredibly effective light hunter, but I don't really go on the prowl with it, given my 66kph speed with a maxed engine.

This is good, however I prefer my fast Cent-D, second fast Treb-3C. Going 130-139 w/ streaks, bap and that extra armor make taking lights the preferred target. Not enough damage for heavies. I prefer to scout as a fast medium.

I cannot recommend the Cicada-2A against lights. I like the Cicada but feel it is more of anti-medium and quick reaction frontline unit. No streaks and no arm actuators hurt it against lights. 6 Mlas is an otherwise excellent loadout for most situations.
