I see alot of people saying these challenges are "Cap Warrior Online". I like the challenges and have no problems on how people try to finish the objectives. I'm sure that PGI has brainstormed other types of challenges. I'ed like to suggest to them maybe a kill/assists challenge of some sort. Maybe it would change peoples minds on calling it this. Either way I think they are fun, even if I don't complete the challenge. what do the players and PGI think of the idea? Think I miss placed this post sorry. I dont use the forums much.

Brainstormed? Haha!
Forget such a challenge. As it is now even if you hit an enemy with one machinegun bullet, you get a kill assists (if someone take him down). What would happen in such a tournament is that people just shoot randomly in hope to get a lot of kill assists.
A kill assist should be more like a certain amount of damage dealt of the whole damage that a target has taken. Say a mech is destroyed after getting 250 damage, you get a kill assist if you made at least 5% or more of it. Otherwise you didn't help much to bring someone down. 10% would be much better. Even a scout should mange to do this.
Focus fire is the key in a team based game, not poking around with a fast mech.

A kill challenge you say, that is a high alpha challenge? Why yes we do need more of those.

One of the earlier "tournaments" for this game was specifically a kill and assists challenge. What ended up happening was massive abuse.
The kills-only challenge effectively promoted kill stealing.
The assists-only challenge effectively promoted "poke", die, and disconnect so if your team won the match, you'd collect all the assists you could want, but the definition of an assist.
In sum, please come up with better ideas, since the whole point of constructing a tourney does require some thought with respect to abusing the system to win.

I see challenges as being something fun that shakes things up a bit, but isn't all that "serious". It's probably not possible to avoid making some people unhappy, the last challenge is a clear example of that. Everyone went from cussing out cappers to either getting their own speed-freak light to get quick wins by capture or jumping in a super KillBoat to try and expedite kill wins (and then cussing out cappers when they lost )
An actual tournament should probably be more carefully constructed, and ideally wouldn't involve the playerbase not opted into it anyway; tourney players would drop with tourney players rather than 1/3 of a team being in the tourney and the rest not caring or knowing about it at all.

Every challenge has been "kill & win...repeatedly" not much variation- let's get more game types!
