No seriously, a combination smoke bomb/chaff consumable (to confuse enemy radar, and make the Seismic module a bit more useful post-nerf), would be a great tool for mechs that prefer long range harassment and hit + run tactics.

Something like chaff pods? You'll have to wait for 3066 for that. Until then, we'll have to make do with ecm. There's also stealth armor, which is 3063.
Aside from that, there's smoke shells for artillery, which would make a nice variant for the artillery barrage consumable.

No fan of smoke for the lag it causes. I hate playing caustic for that reason. Die constantly due to severe lag. Fix that issue and I might consider it.

That's a really good point, actually. And it could lead to people monkeying with their video cards (or otherwise cheating) to see through them.

Well if that is possible it expalins a lot with some snipers I have encoutered. Still cannot figure out that with ecm equipped at the start of the game someone can whack me with dual gauss and even if I sit there with zoom module I still cannot see them. My graphics are maxed out too. Someone during a game told me that it was a hack. Would make sense here in exploit warrior land.

If implemented correctly, this thing alone could solve the sniper heavy meta...
