I just got out of a game where I was running around in my Raven with SRM's... Didn't even get close to overheating, only very minimal damage(raking hits acouple of times from regular lasers).. and I just... exploded.

I'd never gotten anywhere close to overheating and.. and my ammo just went boom.

99.995% chance you were hit by long-range ppc fire and crit your srm ammo, killing you.  a lot of times you won't see hear or feel the impact because of HSR.

oh, it also helps to keep your srm ammo in the arms/head of the raven. never do torsos or legs, as those are what people shoot for.

I was in cover at that point and the only exposed direction that I wasn't facing was an area that I'd just cleared a moment before and in the direction of the friendly base(and not long enough into the match where anyone other than lights, which they only had one which I chased off and who wasn't packing a PPC).

The only way it could have been a PPC is if they somehow bored through the mountain.

Only way your ammo should ever be exploding is if it gets shot or if you have overridden a shutdown.
I admit I like many people think you probably got shot.
If you didn't, keep an eye out for it, and if it happens again, report it with exact time (and timezone), mech you were piloting, and any other helpful information (map), and particularly a screenshot of your death log, as they will be skeptical too. [I think the game allows screenshots now, if it doesn't, write all the entries down.]

Then e-mail all of that to support@mwomercs.com.
It wouldn't be this game's only bug :-).

Will do. It could be an issue of latency as well. I was in cover for a reason(a Cataphract and Atlas) but I'd made the corner.. but maybe I didn't to them? Wouldn't have been the first time I've seen something like that happen.

Post a video when you make these sort of threads. Otherwise, don't bother. I don't mean this to be callous, but a single strange event without any video will just lead to speculation from everyone involved.

With HSR sometimes you get shot without any graphical or audio signs, just your damage model updating (or the death screen). Did your after-death summary list an ammo explosion? Was it a suicide (did it say Foxfire has killed Foxfire)? Were there any other damage sources listed in the death screen?

Ammo also doesn't seem to instantly explode all the time.. I have been hit.. ducked back into cover. Started to turn around then exploded with no new hits.

Back in January. if I EVER hit overide in a match (wether it worked or I used it to start up from a shutdown) any time after that my ammo might randomly explode. Haven't seen it happen since march. But I also almost never overheat now too, that bug might be back.

It listed ammo explosion... and had I known this would have happend, I'd have fired up the recorder but there doesn't seem to be any way that I know of to reproduce this since I don't even know the circumstances that caused this.

It takes a few seconds from hit for gauss or ammo to explode. Kinda fun to wait in anticipation. You see the gauss go red and you just count to 3 to see if a big boom occurs.

Ammo is only a 10% chance to explode as well (afaik) so overheating you could just be lucky

No, i mean 0 heat I fired 1 gun and it would blow up, even if nobody was around. Completely randomly. if I hit "o" even once, the rest of the match I could explode at any time while firing. I've actually gotten into the habit of never (very rarely.. say 1 out of 20 matches) overheating because of it.

It was fixed, but sometimes bugs come back.

I once fired 2 ML about 10 secs into the match and exploded. My YLW, if I recall correctly. This was before the death screen, so I didn't even have a clue to tell me if something happened besides that.
