If It makes you feel any better. Both of the guys I play tabletop games got into Beta, and didn't want me to hang with them. They said my ability to hang out with them was PENDING.

My rationality for having been randomly selected for a beta key is that they send keys out to people that own computers with hardware they want their game to have more testing on, and I don't have this hardware.. that and I have a laptop..

The silver lining. If you do not get into the beta before founders pack, just think of all the tedious testing that you won't have to work on. Accidentally finding, or actively thinking outside the box to seek, duplicating and reporting game issues... it tends to be a serious frustrating pain in the butt; NOT day one of public release.

Someone else will assist the kinks getting worked out and contribute to a cleaner game for when you get to enjoy it later on. Yay! For those just eager to PLAY, please keep the leash held tight while waiting for the released product.

The bystanders here that have actually TESTED such products know exactly what I'm talking about. You discover a game issue and after duplicating it, confirming it with another participant and reporting it, next thing you know the variants for exploits are running rampant in the participants that are busy PLAYING for self-gratification and can't be bothered to help the developers with discovery and fixes. They get as much Over-Powered wiggits as they can and exploit for unlimited resources. How the developers can put up with that behavior is nothing short of saint's patience <dot><dot><dot>

So please, PLEASE keep the threats of not spending money if you don't get in beta all to yourself, because it only reveals false pretenses.

Now I to take the part of a jerk for pointing out the obvious instead of just posting "thanks for the update and good luck with the effort". <sigh>

Yes you 1500 new peons! Figure out the bugs/issues for us so we don't have to deal with it later!

That said it would be nice to get a pass since incidentally, my semester just ended freeing up a boatload of freetime. Though I was planning on sitting tight until open beta, since my last experience with a closed beta(Phantasy Star Online 2) involved in puking blood at my screen due to the server destroying itself from the amount of traffic. Still had fun, but had to play at really crazy times(and lose lots of sleep) to avoid server traffic and getting disconnected perpetually.

That said I hope the new testers have their fun, and the big kinks/issues get hammered out during the rest of the closed beta period.
