Depending on the degree to which they get nerfed via the bones, even SSRM6s may not be enough- and that still doesn't say much about SSRM2's effectiveness in that situation...



In any event, slas are not a model light weapon... AC/2s are. And SSRMs were.

Using a surprise Streakcat spam on an 8-man drop (which is in the extreme minority of the matches) is way different than being the lone A1 in pugs (where the overwhelming majority of the action is). I am speaking to the majority.

I rarely see streak cats, and when they do how up they take a dirt nap pretty quickly without doing much damage. I definitely don't fear them. Maybe it's an Elo thing?

Nah, Streakcats are rare in all ranges of Elo. Kinda opposite of PPC/ERPPC Stalkers.

i started the thread about the cockpit shake on the initial problem streak2s need a nurf on them because streak 6s will be so much cheeeeessssszzz cockpittttt wwwhhheeerrrreeee it will be redicouls and unexceptable dammage is fine if i caaannnn see the bloody cheezze ears i blow them offf too no big just balance a little thinking on the future pgi

Not inclined to argue about the streakcats thing but...PPC stalkers? I'm fairly sure those are at all Elo levels. FOTM builds tend to be. Being able to parrot a FOTM build doesn't actually make a player effective in one, and said Stalkers won't cause much raise in Elo when the pilot is of that strata of player that can't hit the broad side of an Awesome.

But that is just what he said. Streakcats = rare, PPC Stalker = common.

Yeah, many weapons can look op when used by 8 mans simply because of their ability to focus fire.
