PGI currently has an aritifical cap on speeds due to how speed affects performance. Technically, all the lights should have different topspeeds, but are forced to cap around 150kmh instead. Between that fact and streaks, it makes it very difficult to condone choosing one of more than four prime light chassis variants.
JR7-D, RVN-3L, SDR-5D and CMD-2D
Excatly. Thats sad that the other variants and especially spiders and commandos are disadvantaged and you rarely see them at the battlefield
Note- I´d add the jenner f to ya list

Good question indeed, I know their max speed should be limited for technical reasons (lag and whatnot), but I tend to agree that putting their speed on the same playing field as the heavier Raven and Jenner is a bit unfair. If it were up to me I'd make the ECM Raven's top speed the same as the 2X and 4X, and drop the Jenner's top speed down about another 10 kph. This would at least give these lesser lights a bit of meaning in their short lives.
i totally agree with the top speed drop if they are not able to give the spider and the commando their "original" speed back
