So I did my research, and discovered that there are only 5 'mechs currently in the game that can mount 6 PPCs. Obviously, 3 are the Stalkers 3F, 5S and 4N. The 4th is the Awesome 8Q. But you'll never expect the 5th... it's the firebrand!
You have terrible armour, speed and heat efficiency, but it can be done. The FB wins the award for being the smallest mech that can mount 6 PPCs.

you can put in a bigger engine and have less armour, but this is just an example.

If you suck really hard you could boat, or instead you could take a balanced weapons loadout and win through skill just a thought.

I am not for one moment saying that anyone should ever do this. I am saying it's possible.

The 6xppc loadout is bad anyway, 4x is better in almost every single way, and this is widely known. OP is just pointing out an amusing fact, and keeping me entertained. Ten points to OP!

yeah but he may get a few noobs trying this. The only thing a firebrand can "boat" till post next patch is med Las. had a lil sucess with 4x LPlas but they just don't have range and it's still hot as heck!!

If you're really good, you could boat and beat all the other players that are just skilled but have a poor mech, or those that boat and don't have skill.
Sounds like the win-win option.
And if I don't have skill; i certainly don't want to have a bad mech on top of it. That sounds like lose-lose.

Aw leave him alone, can't have a thread on these forums without someone pouting about using skill over an effective mech. Let him run around in whatever he considers to be the most 'balanced' build. The rest of us will just play what works.

I've ran the FB with 4 ppc's.
WIthout endo you can get 18 heat sinks (39% CE) and an XL250.
Can run a std205 if you wanted.

I always go back to a Gauss and 2 ERPPC's.
