Perfectly Timed Patch Day, Pgi Manages To Accomplish No Balance Changes Whatsoever. Offers More Promises Instead.

It's definitely a light patch, but really, what do you expect? Why can't people just go 'Oh, well that's cool, they're still working on this game I play', and hope for some more next time?
I guess I just don't wake up on patch day for MWO waiting for the notes to make or break how I feel..

So, you're upset that we got a new mech, a new champion mech, updates to a few weapons that needed the help in a major way, and some fixes to maps and bugs. BUT, you're even more upset that no changes were made to game mechanics and weapons which weren't promised or even hinted at going in this patch? Self entitled criers need a major break from the boards/game, I think.
*weapon update that needed help in a major way*
*Large pulse laser get's a rather harsh heat nerf*

PGI says things ahead of time, says to expect patches that address key issues that people see.
PGI does not deliver on said patch, and pushes it back by a month.
PGI then comes back the next month, says sorry, gives some grab-deal, and pushes back said fixes by another month...
See the pattern? This is why people are pissed.

I don't even see anything in the patch notes that suggests that they are even working towards better balance. In fact, I don't see any meaningful balance changes at all! Even though the needed changes are staring them in the face and they recognize it (in some cases for months) they do nothing. Nothing at all. They can't fix one single important balance issue, even when it is as easy as changing 1 digit of 1 number in a single file. That does not inspire confidence.
Honestly, I'm starting to think they are lazy or don't care. Their pattern of delays of simple things reminds me of a high-school student who was given a big, several week assignment and only works on it for 15 minutes a week, expecting that they can just do it all on the last night.

I'm not sure what constitutes a huge patch from them anymore.
I just spent money on this game because of the proposed weapons changes that were misrepresented to be in this patch.
I will not spend another dime on this game until I see CW. I do not care what maps, weapon changes, new hero mechs come out.
I do not believe anything that you present to us anymore.
I will only believe it when it happens.
No CW = no interest from me or anyone else that I keep convincing to stay and play this game.
July 4th is an American Holiday... they don't really celebrate it in Canada. They however do have Canada Day which is on July 1st, so I suspect they will have a nice 3 day weekend and hit the ground running for the rest of July
What proposed weapon changes were misrepresented? I think maybe SSRM changes was supposed to be in but guess it got pushed back, but I also think it never had a hard date. Projected dates always change... the patch notes are the patch notes. I never expect anything from a Command Chair post or any other dev post until I see it in the patch notes.
The day a planetary map shows up in MWO is the day I activate my Founder's Premium time... still holding onto it.
I prefer to look at what we actually got with the patch than what we didn't get... half full half empty... but that's just me.

I'm well aware of the player/developer relationship within this game, and my answer to that is that PGI is NOT actively trying to drive people away from their game. They are working on it, as it is their job, and they get paid more, and more accolades if they do it right.
Your assertion that they somehow deceive people intentionally is misguided. Do you really think they sit in meetings and go, "We'll tell the players that X is coming out Y, but really, we'll just take half days until then and finish it the following month!"?

Rather them get it right and keep it stable, then try to rush stuff out for the entitlement crowd of spoiled bratz.
Yes, it would have been good to get a bunch of fixes today ... am I disappointed?
Maybe they should just not tell anybody what their goals are cause when they don't met them you want to hit them over the head? It's really sad that you think this sort of thread makes them work harder or produce a better game. More then sad actually ... it's kind of depressing the crap that parents are producing these days.

I've been following this dev trainwreck since day 1, since it was announced as Mechwarrior 3015...
Bro i sometimes have to look at what's happening and wonder just what the hell they ARE thinking for the amount of boneheaded moves that have been made with this game, this property, and by this dev team.
Do I seem hostile? Damn right I am. I was sold on an idea... I kept my founder's package because I still believed in that ideal, that PGI would deliver on the game they promised us.
Now my Gold founders badge is to remind me not to get my hopes up on broken promises. That dev's will say whatever they can to get money from you, then take a rusty chainsaw to your hindquarters while you're not looking.

Nothing that I said is wrong. We got new additions to the game (good), they buffed the Machine Gun and Flamer, both of which are in WAY worse shape then the Pulse Lasers have EVER been (good), and they've equalized the DPS and HPS of the pulse laser family (good) while mentioned that future work will be done to bring the pulse laser family into better shape usage wise (good). Your only complaint is that SRM damage is still weak and that they nerfed a weapon that you probably don't even use. So no, I'm not apologetic to you and your senseless pessemistic babbling about a game that you don't seem to really enjoy.

I added a representation of my range of emotions in real time while reading this post. Sadly I did not detect the sarcasm until the word "release."

I'm sorry that a video game can twist you like that... I just paid 60 bucks cuz I thought it'd be fun to support something I enjoy, even if it goes up in flames. I don't really have a solution for people who are emotionally invested and incensed by the direction this game is going, logic dictates that a video game doesn't really mean THAT much.
You only have so much control over things in life, I suggest you (and those who feel the way you do) save your frustration for things that actually matter.
