High Ping? Low Frames? Tell us about it here!

Please attempt to respond to the following questions in your responses:
  • How had the patch generally affected your performance?
  • Whether there are specific points in the game when your performance changes.
  • What are your video settings, did you change them since last patch?
  • Average FPS ingame and in the menus for previous patch and latest patch (Press F9 to see your FPS)
  • System specs (You can include them in a [spoiler] [ /spoiler])
  • Your advertised internet connection speed / Geographic location

Horrible patch. Earlier i had problems with the critical errors (memory allocation fo (random) bytes not found) and they were 1 to 5 games.
Today after patch, my FPS dying in hell with screams, and i tried to play 10 times, but only 2 of them were to the end...others were criticaly ended at the start.

P.S. Sorry for bad English.

Just patched a tried a match. Ping was 91 at the very first moment. Then jumped to 4100 and stayed there. Unplayable game.

I am running a AMD quad core 3.6Ghz with 16GB of Kingston HyperX RAM, Windows 7 Pro 64 bit, with a Radeon 7700 with 1GB of ram. My internet is with TWC in Ausitn TX, 30MB advertised line, just tested it with a 23.49mb down and 1.92 mb up.

I really would like to be able to play the game I paid money for. That would be so awesome.

Same issues still happening from AU, ping was 308, then would drop to 257, then go back to 304, then drop to 252, etc etc.

Lasers would not register hits for over half the beam, with only a tiny tick at the end of each if I'm lucky.

So unfortunately, no change from last patch.

why is it that each patch that says "Made more improvements to the bandwidth costs." continually make it worse?..my ping was a steady 60-80, then it jumped to 120-140, now it's 200+. I've changed nothing, not bothering with posting my info..did that with the last 2 patches and to support with no help

The game is just not smooth now. I can't say its directly ping/lag related or frame rate.

I think it might be a bit of both.

My buddy said the same the game is just very choppy now, I turned graphics all the way to low and still exact same performance.

It almost seems to be skipping frames once in a while.

For me and my friend performance has degraded a tremendous amount.

I am running Nvidia GTX 470 with graphics drivers 320.18 and as of this patch my graphics card instantly hits 99% load when I load into a match, before the patch I was sitting . I have turned the settings to low, and high, it happens either way. It is causing some frame stuttering, and has caused me to crash once so far. I crashed on Tourmaline, and the other maps put me at 99% load.

Ping is still skyrocketing on and off. Not sure how I'll be able to comment on frame rates since there's no counter for it.

getting a few crashes here and there. 1 1/2 years ago i bought a new high end system. its still very good for most games out there but seems to be outdated for this one. im not buying a new computer just for this game.

Ping
Still jumping around in a 30mb/2mb connection, from 140 to 200 (Im in POrtugal-Europe)

FPS
Frame rates previously 30/40 now they jump from 25 to 10, more mechs and more firing the worst it gets.

Conclusion
So latest patches are not doing " the improvements overall" as stated.

Been getting an issue with this patch where at random times mechs on screen begin to "teleport" around even though my ping is just fine. Irritating as hell trying to hit something that is quickly dissapearing and re-appearing all over the place.

No different to ping before and after patch, still within 280~400 range.
Connecting from South Eat Asia.

Encountered more rubber-banding after patch last night.
Will try again tonight if got the chance.

I notice my GTX670's fan speeding up tremendously as soon as I stand near a dead smoking (black smoke) mech and look at it.

The smoke animation seems pretty heavy on the GPU. As soon as I look away, frames are back to 60 (Vsync is on so its capped there). Looking at the smoke goes down to 45fps with loud fan noise.

i7 3770K
16GB RAM
1920*1200 everything on max in MWO.

Pings are still riding the rollercoaster like a mad man. The same issue I've been having for weeks now unfortunately, the latency times range from 120ish to 220ish ms and bounce up and down nonstop which I'm guessing freaks the HSR out because many hits fail to register. 50mbit/s cable connection from Germany.

My ping seems to have gone down, damage per match suggests my hits are registering.

I'm still in the 120-140s instead of the 80s I enjoyed a couple months ago, but it does seem functional.

My ping jumped from what used to be typically about 80-ish milliseconds to now 170-ish on my 30meg cable connection from Portland, Oregon. This is unique to the new patch.

(edit - post hotfix, my ping is back to ~80ms :-)
